So, the latest Priority One podcast interview (
arcgames.com/en/forums/startrekonline/#/discussion/1210692/podcast-priority-one-podcast-255-the-state-of-play) included a little nugget of gold for the Foundry - - Zero confirmed that a little dev time has actually been set aside to add a 'new feature' to the Foundry 'soon' (stated at the 33:55 mark).
What could it be?
My greatest hope is a new search UI (see sig below)... as this is the most desperately needed item in the Foundry right now.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them."

My money's on this one.
I'm thinking this ^^^
Play X mission to unlock Y mission.
But anything is good really... so either way. +1
@psycoticvulcan : IIRC they got rid of that because people were using it to make grinders with battleships that just sat there and let you beat on them. I don't see it coming back.

Precisely my point.
They can add all sorts of cool stuff to the Foundry...but what good does it do if the vast majority of players only ever see the now set-in-stone top 50 list? (though series grouping will help a bit here)

I don't give a hoot about the grinders, personally. I don't think stopping them is worth compromising what legitimate authors can do in their missions. Just slap them in a different category from the "real" Foundry missions and prevent them from appearing in the Top 3 system. Boom, everyone's happy.
EDIT: Maybe set it so mobs set to Timid Creatures will not fight back, but don't reward loot upon destruction.

This was requested at the time, and the response was that loot tables are controlled at the game-wide level and can't be customized on a per-group basis. I imagine that's why Jem'Hadar love carrying around banana splits.
As to what it might be. Revamped Foundry search is a possibility as I know they've been considering a general revamp of the mission journal for a while now. Could also be something completely different.
Not being a programmer myself, this seems like an easy fix. No need to mess with game-wide loot tables, simply make the 'timid' tag include a loot blocking piece of code. That way only the 'timid' tag needs a little work (I.e. IF TAGGED "TIMID"; LOOT=0 or somesuch) But again, I'm not a programmer so doing something like this might result in ALL loot=0 and a general riot on the forums.

As a fellow non-programmer, I find it usually more accurate to assume that nothing is an easy fix.

yep... I think, there could be a conection...
Personly I hope for a better search-UI, Freecam or at least a "next 50"-button ^^

Reality: a better UI or ability to create foundry series.

As for Investigate Officer Reports, I have brought it to the attention of Cryptic's QA via twitter. They are looking into it, but no fix was in today's patch notes. I can't say for 100% certain at this point whether it was a bug or a decision to remove it.
wait...when did they remove timid creature?
Also, got some news on this. Per Zero, the Foundry time that was scheduled was moved back. It's still on the schedule, just later. She couldn't say what the feature was, only that it is a player-requested feature, and it isn't something like the 3D nudger from Neverwinter. That one is just too crazy-complex to port back over.
In the meantime, they continue to work on objects. She mentioned a version of the new Dyson-style door that opens!
Cool. Now if we could just get the Dyson ground battlezone map.
Oh, and now that we have an official look to President Okeg, he would be cool to add as an asset...well, after Quinn, and T'nae, and...
