whoever is approving posts please post my post "Ratings, Suggestions, & the DOOM of STO" that I have submitted for a 2nd time this week. I know its long and you may not like it but this IS GENERAL STO DISCUSSION BOARD so it should be aloud.
plus I don't post all that often and when I do post its about a concern for a game. Most of the time I HATE posting too forums unless its to point out some flaws with a list of improvements that could help afterwards. Also I'm a Member since the 3 year anniversary of STO so you should take that into some consideration.
No one approves posts. You post, they can close but nothing is reviewed before it is let on. One suggestion, take the word DOOM out of the Subject otherwise it WILL get Closed and rather quickly. It is like waving a Red Cape in front of a Bull.

'As l speak now, the words are forming in my head.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
Playing for X number of years doesn't broke any favor with anyone and neither does being a LTS and been playing since day one. Cryptic really doesn't care. They turn a deaf ear to most unless it's a call for nerfing something. Threads that refer to the death or doom of STO in eihter the banner or content tend to get shut down.

I understand but it did say that my post had to be approved b4 it would be posted if you would like to know what it said please go here to my fleets forum to see what I posted since its obviously not getting posted on the forums:
It was a strait copy and past b4 I hit the post button to the STO forums the only Diff is that I believe I have our forum set up so people can post to general forum without any approval what so ever.

Maybe so but if they would read it they would know that its helpful tips if they even cared.
From what you are telling us, they have put a filter on thread titles (at least) that does not allow the word DOOM. The existence of this thread proves that, in general, your threads are not held back for approval.
Having read your piece on your site, I must say, your thread would not last long here if it was posted. It is, as the title indicates, a DOOM thread, which are expressly not allowed. Edit out your "This Will Be the End of Star Trek" stuff and leave DOOM out of the title and not only will your thread be published immediately, but it won't be closed as soon as a mod sees it.

I actually ran across that once can't remember the circumstance, but I replied to a thread and got a needs approval message.. I think the board has a algorithm that recognizes certain phrases or words and holds them for review

Also links that go to .com sites seem to trigger it too... amusingly this includes the STO gateway.
I might be dense or something but please explain to me how STO is completely broken. I have seen some really broken games that you have to pay for that are unplayable in their current state and STO is not one of them. I am not a fanboy and I am resource poor in STO which probably places me in the "filthy casual" category but I can still find some fun in the game. Everything in your rant has been said before by others so maybe you should step back and take a break if it upsets you so much. This was a nice way to send extra traffic to your site.
