I'm really thinking about giving more in-depth episode specific feedback later, but I wanted to throw a couple of things your way already:
- Zen "giveaway":
Okay, so we were supposed to get our winnings the week after the show, but for me that didn't happen. And since I didn't expect anything to happen during the holidays, I wanted to ask about this delay now. Sure, it's "just" 1000 Zen, so no need to tear off heads, but I would really appreciate it if those Zen found their way into my account.
- Devs and Twitter and "coincidences":
So, remember that one episode when I tore into Cryptic for... well, how do I put it... seemingly not respecting their voice actors? And I basically plugged G&S and a few of their shows (because of Laura Bailey)? Well, I went through some of the devs' twitter messages over the holidays and what's that? Borticus retweeted stuff by Laura Bailey and Liam O'Brien and even Critical Role related fanart? So I scrolled down and it seems like at the start of november he started following the Critical Role cast on Twitter. Wait, when did I mention all this amazing stuff in the feedback? End of october? So the show that has you reading out my feedback would have been published... end of october/start of november? What a coincidence... Be that as it may, I hope he's enjoying the show. I know I do.
In that vein, if you are a Cryptic employee (Borticus? Are you there?) and you do happen to listen to this show, I'd like to applaud you for subjecting yourself to this kind of rather blunt criticism. We may not be falling over our own feet trying to shower you with praise, but we do appreciate your hard work and very much want to see this game improve year after year. And I can tell you, I'm very much looking forward to what you have in store for the anniversary event (I know, the new currency is a given, but what kind of ship?) and the big Star Trek anniversary. I mean, are we gonna get Gamma Rising (+ Gamma Recruitment Event)? I kinda feel like a Legacy of Cardassia/Legacy of DS9 expansion might be more appropriate, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.
Oh and to give you an early warning... SWTOR had a double XP event and I used that event to play through the last class story I was still missing. I kinda feel like I want to talk about storytelling in the near future. So... next feedback? The feedback after? I will talk about SWTOR (nothing about their most recent expansion, but definitely classic SWTOR spoilers), the Delta Rising story arc, the Iconian War story arc and I want to talk about character development. I might even mention WoW.
Mmh... Maybe you want to plan this out and invite someone from the G&T show? Maybe I'll just write an E-Mail and you can use it whenever it fits into the show? Just say something during the show.
