If only we could minimize real life. I've been reading horror stories of jerks screaming out spoilers inside of theater lobbies to ticket buyers. That's why when I go to see TFA, as soon as I step inside the building, I'm going to have my mp3 player going full blast, lol.
They are doing it because of the people that are acting as if they life will be completely ruined if they hear a single spoiler.
Yeah. This is absolutely true.
Just look at the reactions of some fans when trolls went on a campaign to spoil the latest Harry Potter books. Some people went apeshit, up to the point of threatening suicide online. And the books were not that great to begin with.
His style better suited Star wars... and to point out what so many people have TOS was an ENTIRELY different animal to later star trek. Gene Roddenberry had his head shoved up his a** at that point and even considered decanonizing TOS to continue his destruction of the franchise. Much like the Star Wars Prequels, many good elements but enough bad ones to make them insufferable.

They're doing that because they're sociopaths who enjoy ruining things for people in general, because they find hurt, anger and disappointment entertaining. These are the same types who'll suggest to a bride before she walks down the aisle that she's put on weight or subtly hint to the groom that he saw his bride-to-be acting stepping out from behind the bushes with the Best Man.

I don't even use zone chat. I turned that feature off. Now only I see is Fleet, and NPC. Since all they spew out on that chat is rubbish I don't care to read.

I turned zone chat off YEARS ago and have never looked back. I encourage all of you to do the same.

While I'll grant you that some people take it too far, I think the desire to not have a movie spoiled is pretty easy to understand. Trek fans especially should understand how much fans of a franchise look forward to seeing the movies. In the case of Star Wars, there are significantly fewer releases so they're more anticipated. For Star Wars, the last theatrical release was 2005 and was a huge disappointment. For that reason, Star Wars fans are understandably excited for the release of the new film knowing that it's in someone else hands.
I agree that a movie spoiler won't end anyone's existence, but I know that I for one, would have been angry if someone had spoiled the film I waited over 10 years to see. I think in that case, anger is understandable.
Well I just saw it finally... it was really good but very different from any previous star wars film. Quite a bit darker too, I think I need to watch it a few more times to fully appreciate it.
Honestly I don't have any complaints with the film it was just different than I had expected which is probably a good thing going forward. It left quite a few unanswered questions so it definitely is an introductory film and it knows it.
Scheduled to go and see it first week of January. I'm sure it'll be spectacular and all, but I'm sure that will be all it has going for it.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
It sets it's focus squarely on character development rather then overall plot and it does so admirably, I rarely give high marks to actors these days but this time they are quite deserving of awards.

Lol, if you have Zone chat on at all, you're the problem. Zone chat is full of trolls, idiotic Gorn jokes, gold sellers, and the worst conversation topics. My advice, only have Zone chat on in specific places like Ker'rat.
Annnnd that's enough of this. If you can't play nice, don't play at all.

That was too shocking! And that John Harrison character played by Daniel Craig? Yikes!
I think Threepio putting Chewie back together and carrying him around on his back was a bit too much fanservice though.
