Post War #6.1 Security Collaboration (Liaison)

Kyona returned to her office from her recent discussion with Doctor Chaotica energized. She sat down and logged into her console, and glanced down to add a Caitian Honey-berry cube to her tea. She started to stir the crystal into her beverage when a light tone and flashing light alerted her to a message from command. She opened the message program, and saw a message from Captain Shon, with the subject “Security Liaison”.
Kyona sat back in here seat and sipped her tea. She winced a little as it was still a little hot, but her attention was elsewhere, so she barely noticed the stinging sensation. She was pondering what a sorry state of security was at New Romulus and at least one Dyson sphere. When the Enterprise last were at those locations, the state of security was in a state of disarray. Many locations lacked a stationed security officer, patrols often were erratic, the “office” for security was tucked behind and on a number of cargo containers in a lower cargo bay (that was barely accessible), and worst of all there wasn't even permanent security representative in any of the main assembly points. Even worse, after all this time it apparently had not improved. In addition to the Iconian issues, the leadership in these locations had been in a state of flux due to needs from other areas. There had been a great staffing drain from the recent conflicts. No one ever had gotten a handle on a proper system of security for many of these locations. Maybe this was the time to get that all straightened out.
She grinned a little at the consideration for this opportunity. Kyona had started her path up security at Starbase 39-Sierra, and had also done a brief stint at Starbase K-7, before moving over to ship security. While ship based security had a wealth of interesting challenges, she loved the challenge of creating safety for large base and planets. The challenges were different, but she loved flexing her original skills when the opportunity arose. Besides, the galaxy always can be a safer place, free from crime.
Prepping for this conference likely would be rather enjoyable she thought. Not only is there a chance to flex her old base security muscles, but there was just soooo much to work with. Sometimes reports and presentations are a pain in the tail, but this time it likely will fly by.
“I think the first thing I will suggest is a Security Officer be permanently stationed on each main entry and assembly area. New Romulus Command and each of the Dyson Commands should have a permanent officer there to handle any problems and confer with ships coming in.” she said to herself with a chuckle. “Then maybe we could get a better security office station set up… Then to proper training...” she mused.
Her tailed twitched as she started to enter her ideas into her workstation.

Subcommander Kaol and Admiral Kererek from the Romulan Republic have requested a summit to improve operations of the Romulan Republic holdings in lights of recent events with the Iconian empire. (They are still needing help putting things back together and managing existing holdings)
The Romulans are requesting the best available officers with experience with in Engineering, Operations, Security, Medical, Tactical Defense, as well as Trade Negotiators from the Federation, Klingon Empire, Ferengi Alliance, and Vulcan. As you already know, the Federation already has an ongoing partnership in matters of scientific pursuit. They are requesting these representatives to meet for a conference in two weeks.
Shon, since the Enterprise will be the best asset closest to the conference after your visit to Betazed, I am diverting you to the conference to provide assistance with Engineering, Operations, Security, Medical, and Tactical Defense. Please select officers to represent those roles at the conference. I have two other ships heading that way to send representatives for Trade, Operations, and Engineering, so they will be able to supplement you in those roles. They can also help with large fabricating if needed.
Shon, you have lead on this. Report to the site of the former Romulan Flotilla base for the conference. They have re-purposed part of that old deep space base for Diplomacy and Multi-use space. Keep me updated on progress there, and also if you need any assistance or resources to help the Romulans.
