Does keeping all of your ships stocked with better equipment increase your chance of sucess on admiralty assigmnents, or is the chance based on hard numbers asigned to the different ship types?
each ship seems to have constant values. Not all the ships are even "real" ships ... some are consumable items you get as rewards. The consumable ships that are the same as your owned ships are identical in every way, no matter what gear you have on your real ship....

They are completely unlinked from your real ships. You can discharge the actual ship for all the system cares - the Admiralty Ship is the Admiralty Ship is the Admiralty Ship. The Intel Sheshar, for example, is an Eng ship, with 57 Eng, 38 Tac, and 32 Sci, with Ignores+/-Eng from Events no matter what you do.

My admiralty ships do seem to correspond one-for-one to my inventory of actual ships, plus a few exras, which is why I asked. But, if the values for each ship type is a constant, I can even send them out empty if I want to. That's good, because I was selling off lower level equipment and can't fully outfit everything that I own right now.

Tacs are overrated.
