I imagine on the Tholians message board, people are asking:
What are humans? Are they Endoskeleton people? Are they Carbon People? Are they Flesh People? Are they Monkeys?

Another question is if the arms and spider legs are just attachable equipment for the silicon shell's they use when they're out of their dimension?

I always felt that based on STO they treat the crystalline entity like some sort of god like creature. Perhaps it's not even that, maybe it's some sort of super weapon developed by them for nefarious purposes.
Who knows.
