Moving Groundscale Ships and Transporting on a Map

Hi all,

I'd like to toss out a few requests for features for the Foundry that exist in Cryptic missions. As my story ideas become more complex or I'd like to add some more action to a scene, I've noticed that the lack of some already existing features found in Cryptic missions hinders my creativity. If you agree with the items below, comment!

Moving Groundscale Ships (or any asset)
In Cryptic missions, groundscale ships on exterior missions are seen to be moving across the sky. An example would be the Elachi ship that is attacking the Reman colony in one of the first Romulan Republic missions. As an author, I would like to be able to set assets like the groundscale ships to "patrol" from one location to another to give the appearance that they are flying. This would allow me to add more action to maps and show the action rather than describing it through text and then having an asset disappear and then reappear somewhere else. For example, in one Foundry mission, I have a Romulan shuttle patrolling the sky above. However, I'm not able to really make it patrol as the asset cannot move.

Transporting/Warping on a Map
In Cryptic missions, you can interact with a object or reach a marker and be "moved" from one location on the map to another. An example would be a turbolift, door, or transporter pad. On some Foundry maps, there are areas that do not have a connection and without the ability to transport the spawn point to another location, we cannot use the full map. As an author, I would like to be able to add a trigger to an object or marker that allows me to move the player to another location on the map. This would allow me to create more action and movement and have more dynamic environments. For example, I have a map with a groundscale ship in an empty space environment. Next to that, there is an indoor ship environment. The player is meant to EVA on the ship and find a hatch to board the ship. It's difficult to make this work without the ability to trigger a new spawn or move from an object.

Thanks for reading!

Sadly new tech additions are few and far between for the foundry. However there are many ways to fake certain things.

For example recently Taco added a few "Orbiting" Ships for ground use. Specifically the Guardian and D'Kyr, and one other... (just can't remember which). These function like a ground asset but orbit in one Giant Circle... This circle is quite often larger than most maps, but if done right on Nopada for example it could be done to fake an Guardian Flyover.

Currently and for the foreseeable future when attempting to visit multiple locations on the same map you will need to include duplicate versions of the base map.

There's a Guardian-class available? I thought we just had runabouts and shuttles.

    Yup!

But the circle really is HUGE!!! It orbit around most maps.... I think the only place you could probably get a flyover is on the Nopada Map since its so big, but it may just work.
