Fed Fleet T6 Carrier is #BestShipEver

Hello.

I'm here to talk about the ship I'm renaming #BestShipEver

I've known my friend pulse for at LEAST a hundred years now... and Pulse never dies. Pulse is the kind of person who can Solo STFs. Pulse is the kind of person who 1v5's most players in pvp. I once PVP'd pulse in ground, shot pulse, had the shot backfire and one-shot my entire team.

Pulse... is a God, and everyone knows pulse as such.

...Today however, Pulse and I got the NEW SHINEY ship of the month... the Fed T6 Carrier.

I admit I went in thinking this was gonna be a total waste of resources, but due to peer pressure, I got one of my own to join him. After about 30 minutes of upgrading our ships to Fleet Versions, Buying 2 of the elite hanger ships (really it's only selling point), and the grind of making sure our trays are set up and our boffs ready... we decided to head into a mission called BLOOD OF THE ANCIENTS.

We played this on Normal.. just Cause.

Then I witnessed the BEST PART of this new #BestShipEver

As my twitter will be lovingly pointing out frequently throughout the rest of the day... Pulse died NOT ONCE, but TWICE! With a Full gold Build and all the upgrades you can throw at this thing.

Yes. someone who eyerolls the 50kdps channels... Died. Twice. In Normals. During Story Missions. In the #BestShipEver

....As such. I would like to thank Cryptic for this wonderful ship, as it has brought me great laughter in the last few hours due to it's utter brilliance.

after my negative comments about the T6 Alita, Yamato, and almost every other ship they've released... THIS ONE really IS the #BestShipEver

    So much brilliance in one single post. Thank you for sharing.

    I'm sure Pulse's experience was due to his lack of familiarity with #bestshipever. Keep us up to date on his progress! I on the other hand will endeavor to have a better experience.

    it looked cool and big on the space when i saw one then looked into the bridge layout and at some point it looks carriers need a bit of a change, it looked weak to me , although im no no pink skin.

    would be possible to had a 3rd or 4th pet slots? carriers dont look and feel much as carriers imo.

    Not worth the investment, especially the visual part (no animation, no use of hangar, not living up to the hype). Not the best ship ever by far.

    I'm guessing that the 'bestshipever' thing is said with just a touch of sarcasm!

    This is the best ship ever... Because I watched my friend pulse die repeatedly in it. though I've since moved to the Phantom Intel Escort for that Reciprowhatever trait and Im totally digging it's damage output. So the amusement only lasted through that mission.

    The ONLY sarcasm here is the one up there that is vibrating.

    seriously cryptic? That is one lame carrier i'm not getting and suggesting to my fleet to boycott. Its pure garbage

    If 'Pulse' died in a Fleet Jupiter in a PVE Mission on Normal then 'Pulse' flat out sucks.

    The Jupiter's biggest weakness is lower DPS potential then other ships, but it's durability is second to none. It's one of the tankiest ships in the game, dying in a Jupiter in PVE is nearly impossible for any player with moderate or better skill level.

    I'm by no means one of the top players in the game, definitely not 'Elite' by any stretch of the imagination and I can survive anything that any normal PVE mission throws at me in a Jupiter. The ship is nearly indestructible on normal content.

    I bought one because it was on sale, it is big, and it is a Fed Carrier. I just wanted a big Fed ship and a Fed carrier. Two for one at a discount! Now I need to learn how to use it. Anyone have good builds for the ship that they will share here?

    How does one keep dying in a Jupiter?

    Its got massive hull and shockingly high shield hp, its got alots of science boff powers for shield healing, enough enigeering boff powers for enigeering team for hull healing, up to 4 frigates to draw fire away and its console grants temp hps.

    And that not including various consoles, traits, set bonuses one can get to reduce damage or heal.

    well he could of fallen asleep waiting for the ship to actually kill something....

    i can reach 108k hull with ~15-17k shield( with ~230 regen) on my romulan command bird and it is a 4/4 just have 1 lesser pet hanger and for sure a better BOFF bridge
    critical goes up more than 100% and chance is arround 25 w/o the trait that increases crit change on no critical.

    Carriers... they really need to be carriers or pets need to be improved :P

    Humble apologies. While I did in fact read the post, I figured it to be a typical 'Timmy' post. The sarcasm in it, if any, was lost on me. Wasn't there an old saying that claims sarcasm doesn't work on the interweb? If such a thing cannot be said in general, it can at least be confirmed for this post.

    Pfft.. if you read the post there was no way you could of come to the conclusion that he was in anyway saying this ship was really the best ship.. in the way you responded.

    The op didn't use fancy words or odd sarcasms.. it was pretty straight forward...

    Hmmm. This strikes me as a completely appropriate place to interject why I think the Jupiter is "best ship ever!"

    im not a fan.
    oh its a nice looking ship but i personally liked the other final choice.
    Also im very disinterested now that it is a sci ship, i wanted a new engie as im fed up with my command cruiser.
