Now people will just say ether "its in game replay button" or "make a new char" but that's not what I mean. At the end of the last mission for any of the arcs in game it should have a reset button for that whole arc but on clicking it all mobs get a 50% damage and health boost for this next play though. each time you do this that arc goes up 1 rank. so first play would be rank 0 with all mobs having 100% damage and health. but rank 5 would be 250% damage and health. And to go even higher say rank 20 it would be 1000% damage and health. it would be the true hard mode that even with a full group of 5 well geared players would start to have trouble with. and it would be able to keep going up so players would have to start adding more tank rather than more boom as what is the current way with end game.
Now this would be good for a few reasons in my eyes. As lets face it the story in STO is good and some of the missions are well made and its a shame that they don't get used after we have ran them the first time. Reward wise it could just be rep in one of the many rep trees we have already but scales with the rank or some thing like that. but tbh the reward ain't such a big deal as its more about pride I guess.
As think about it not only would we have end game group content that is in game now that is not very well scaled with current gear. but a game system that our builds/ability can get tested on. As in you can only run rank 7 of (mission name here) if you are at rank 7 for that arc. As lets face it everyone has been in a game where its ether been to hard as every is not good enough geared/afk or just plain new and not got a clue. Or been so easy you only got to use a few skills cos everything died to fast.
