You herp derp moment?

I kept trying to refine my build to the point where I actually forgot that my EPTW and Emergency Weapon Cycle work together and was bringing me in 10k DPS. I had taken it out because I thought DEM was helping more and I wanted to add heal power in the engineering seat. For the last 2 weeks, I've been irritated at the fact my dps has dropped 10k even though the extra crit traits and my extra space trait slot were all filled to maximize damage. I've been seething in confusion for the last week because I couldn't work out why it was so difficult for me to hit my old score when I could consistently get it a month ago. The Derp moment came when I was watching a random build video and the guy was walking about the Emergency Weapon Cycle trait and EPTW and it just hit me like truck. What a moron. Well, at least I won't ever forget this now.

Accidentally deleting an email with 5 items I'd crafted for a new alt, all with a tech upgrade applied so he could level up with them. That's a million credits worth of gear I'll never see again.

Even worse was the lost time, since it took a lot of crafting to get a mark II armor, shield and weapon with the mods I wanted.

I remember a time when I only ever used one or two boff powers, no doffs, no traits, and had my skilltree all wrong. Another time, I posted the wrong item on the exchange, but managed to remove it before someone noticed. Talk about awkward.

Once, in my haste to list them, I accidentally posted 7 Master Keys I had just bought for the price of one on the Exchange. It sold quicker than I could react to my mistake.

Needless to say, I now take my sweet time when listing stacks of items in order to prevent that from happening again...

Gotta be careful posting those keys. It apparently a regular thing for people to put in the wrong quantity or forget some digits in their prices.

Not so much my fault but I once had about 350,000,000 energy credits worth of Promotion packs mailed to me as part of a trade. With someone I know and trust of course.

Never arrived.

Months later I made an alternate character during the Delta Event and realized that the mail on my main is broken and won't receive mails. So on my new character I found dozens of fleet emails and my missing promo packs. Lol

One time, I started a thread that I wanted people to share their "Herp Derp" Moments, but instead of titling the thread "Your Herp Derp Moment" I made it "You herp derp moment" and boy, did I feel silly. Oh, wait. That wasn't me.

One time, I meant to list a cheap Mirror Universe ship on the exchange, but managed to drag the wrong ship box into the window. Someone got a really really really good deal on a Suliban Cell Ship.

Buying some gear for a character by spending a lot of money. Then end up that character already had them, just forgot to check in their bank.

I was swapping out ships to play with. Left dock and started a mission. Then noticed I didn't equip anything.

I still do this one at times. Do a mission and click on the wrong reward. So end up having to do it again to get the reward I wanted.

My biggest derp moment was after I crafted a TR-116B on my main, and spent a lot on upgrades for it, got it to epic, and then went to put it on exchange for 50,000,000, yes that was the average price at that time, well I put it up for 50,000!


I realized it the moment I hit the button and tried to take it down, but it sold in like 1 second. My fault, my loss, and no hard feelings from me to the one who bought it. I just hope it serves them well. Now of course I take extra precautions when selling.

When I was grinding nukara marks to get the space and weapon sets for one character it was late at night and for the next space item I accidentally bought the deflector I already had instead of the engine. 750 marks and 32,000 dil gone forever. NOOOOO!!!!!

When I went into a borg elite and was wondering why I wasn't doing any damage. Got to talking about how my ship felt..off with my fleet, looked over at my power levels, and realized that all my power was on my engines.

Bought the lifetime subscription after coming back to the game in September of 2014. Got the email with free goodies in it. Forgot that you have to be at a mail console to get the items out. Figured that the items shown were in my bank or something and deleted the email. Lost at least a ship upgrade token and some other stuff.

Back during the summer event of 2013 I managed to buy a plasmonic leech console for myself for 50k ec from the exchange when they were going for a few million at the time (or at least hundreds of thousands of ec on average).

OK. This one time I did Azure Nebula Rescue in my shuttle because I had just completed the Operation Gamma episode before I queued and forgot to switch back to my starship. I mentioned it before the mission started and 1 player laughed. I didn't do too badly but I didn't do anywhere close to as great as I could have with a starship. LOL
