The most wasted dilithium evvah. Something about crafting.

Because I like some plasma rifles from the Romulan vendor, I decide to buy a couple of mk I's and upgrade them with the purpose of improving their quality. The weapons are of white quality. Three weapons are upgraded to ml X, one blue, one green and one is still white. That white mk X rifle, upgrade from mk I is in my view the moste wasted dilithium ever in the gameplay of STO.

Stupid acting on my side perhaps, but I also thought it is really a shame that we cannot do this in a proper way. BTW. an important factor for me is the way the weapon looks. It is a nice looking small rifle. I crafted a plasma rifle myself. It was right away of purple quality. It looked fine too, but when I had it upgraded to mk X it looked different. Not good anymore in my eyes.

So here is an idea. We can make upgrade kits. Let us also make upgrade kits with a mod. When you use it, it adds a mod to the item; you get an upgrade and a quality improvement. I am fine with a random mode, because right now we don't have any power to improve the quality. It is a matter of luck. An upgrade kit with a predefined modifier would even be better. We get rid of the random factor in the crafting system. For which I see no real purpose and I don't know what one can argue against it, if we miss it.
