Hi, I have been a lifetime subscriber for a while now and I was wondering what the point of Captains table is. Everything thats there is accessible on Earth so why spend the extra time going to Captains table? The only thing different is the concierge that talks about a letter she isn't allowed to give out yet. I guess I am just confused on the point. Let me know what you think, thanks!

Otherwise, this zone is long overdue for a redo, which, as an LTS, should not happen until every other social zone in this game is up to currrent ESD specs. AKA years.

I don't play a lot on KDF side, mostly because I hate First City.
DS9 might be in the world already from what I've heard, it got pushed back, though.
Captains' Table would be nice, but really, they need to figure out a unique incentive that would get us to want to go there without making the FtP players scream "PtW!!!!!"
"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
Maybe they did and you just forgot.

It's pretty much this hard to keep just one timeline intact. ♪
Great idea since you were never officially there.

Wait, what? Pretty sure Cryptic wants people to know about the Captains' Table, except they don't want people to think of it as useless...
the items like the ships, bank slots, inventory slots and such more then make up for the cost of LTS that's before you even factor in the 500zen stipend every month.
captains table is just there just so you can say there is a place in the game that only lifers can go, the mere fact that theres nothing to do when you get there is immaterial.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
Sarcasm noted--but you're already in an exclusive area for rich people, my friend. If you're playing STO, you're one of the world's richest persons. In 2011 the global median per-capita annual income was the equivalent of 1255 USD, meaning that a computer capable of playing STO would consume--at a minimum--half of the individual's income for the year (if the computer could be bought at that price in the country of residence at all). It would have been about 11% of the income for a family of four at that income level, and they'd have to be paying for a decent internet connection, too--assuming one was available.
Gamble EC, Dil, and Zen at the tables.
Low stakes, mid stakes and high stakes.
Problem solved, Captains table becomes busy will Gamblor traffic.
I'd spend quite a bit of time there if poker was available, fleecing everyone out of their Ec, Dil and Zen
Would make the Captains Table a bustling place in one fell swoop.
Think of it as another place to lose... "spend" your monthly stipend....
You do realise we'll all do that now?

never had any log in problems after a season/expansion update, not since I got LTS anyway.

Adding even more bonus perks to the place, will further enhance its appeal. I think its something that is worth doing. If cryptic manages to make that place worthwhile, more F2P players might purchase a sub, simply to gain access to VIP area... such being a human desire to gain access to VIP places.
That is absolutely bizarre to me. First City is one of my favorite game environments. My only complaint is that there isn't more missions there.
