Great trait theft of 2015 that wasn't?

Opened rom character to do traits after the new patch and three of the nine slots are taken up with boff traits: SRO, SI, SRO
So looks like roms just lost 3 trait slots, then I unselect stations, re-do them and the slots are open. Anyone having an issue that lasts beyond this procedure?

    This problem should permanently resolve itself the first time you move to a ground map.

    It could take weeks for some players to even notice there was a trait system update and that they have to re-slot their traits.

    Because it would be far too convenient if the game just up and told you about important changes like that when you log in.
