Story Ideas

While I'm suffering foundry withdrawal symptoms, I've come up with a small collection of story ideas; I was wondering if anyone would find any of these interesting enough for me to develop following my "Twilight before the New Dawn".

1) Return from Erebus (Romulan hell). This came from accidentally using humanoid skins on the Warrigul and Targ mobs. Actually quite frightening. (Please don't steal this idea :) )

2) The Hunt for T'Ket. (Iconian civil war?)

3) The Wrong Way for the True Way. (More of an Admiral's mission) with no disrespect intended, but based upon the Paris terrorist attacks, this mission is intended to talk about resisting the goals of terrorism. Perhaps a more Trek-esque story. Based upon something I posted yesterday.
I've come to understand, that is profoundly important that we do not fear terrorists; fear is their goal. I believe we should retaliate, stand with our neighbouring countries and quell ISIS. Not only should we fight with our military forces. We should resist their goals personally - don't cancel that flight; don't cancel that sports match. Be social go out there and use your freedom. Walk the streets with confidence. Do not fall to their whim.

4) Typhoon. The crew of the U.S.S. Typhoon have suffered major losses during the Iconian War. Efficiency is so low it has attracted the attention of Admiral Quinn. Take command and motivate the crew. (Warning: Expected plot twist)

Typhoon has interesting character potential, a lot was said about the personal impact of the Iconian war but apart from NPC text bubbles around the Krenim research lab the game didn't really deal with it. These are all neat ideas but I'd personally go with that one with maybe some elements of The Hunt for T'ket worked in there as well (could even go full Ahab with the Typhoon first officer but that's definitely up to you.)

The true way sub-plot would probably be my number 2 choice, but a very carefully worked choice. Letting us deal with significant cultural events is, well, kind of the point of Star Trek but that said you don't want to force an issue into a Star Trek episode just to have that episode. You need something to say about it which challenges an idea or two and gets people to think. Otherwise you're just making a reference in an entertainment format, which isn't the best use of the opportunity. Basically think more TOS and less VOY. If you have something to say then by all means try it, but otherwise you might just leave this one to the realm of normal social discourse. :)
