Roms have 2 science ships really which stop at T5U: Caprimul (5 Sci slots), and Fleet Ha'nom.

The Temporal one doesn't even count as a Rom ship since there's no singularity or any cloak to make it equivalent cross-faction despite a unique skin and barely unique bridge if illumination counts.

    There's also zero Rom carriers.

The cat science-oriented carrier available for feds isn't enough (I fly a fleet one), so they get a totally new T6.

On the bright side, most releases lately have been cross-faction, so when science ever swings around again in the C-store some time before the lights go out there's bound to be Rom and KDF science.

If you're talking about the KDF/Rom science ships, it's in the round file receptacle next to the trash can... no wait, that is the trash can. :(

We KDF players(they do exist) have no T6 science ships.

Jeez.. Some people are just so impatient. It takes them something like a couple months to do a ship. Can't remember exactly but there was a 2 part thing on lootcritter about it. They come out with new T6 ships every few weeks. They have a lot of old T5 ships to still do T6 versions of plus new promo, event, lockbox ships. Ships we all want will come eventually but of course they're rarely what people dream of.

that would make sense if there had not been the same issue at t5. This isnt a new problem. The dyson was a latecomer, years late, and the other one was gated behind a fleet (not accessible to everyone).

op has a point. I play a rom-sci myself and i really feel like the unwanted child.
What is the point of releasing myriads of cruisers/tac ships when there is a core class (yes, some people play sci) totally neglected?
There is not a single (!) t6 sci ship for roms but a multitude of cruisers and escorts.

To the guy saying be patient: I would be but they missed so many chances to give us an alternative. Even if i say "ok I do not need to fly a warbird" there is ZERO alternative. Year of Hell lockbox? - negative Herald lockbox? - negative.

Your only choices as a romulan would be fleet Hanom (it sucks) or the Temporal Ships ( be prepared to break your bank) I just got the annorax and it's my new favorite ship. A guy posted in another rt read that about half the players in this game don't pull 15k dps. Not sure if I believe that but a recent ISA I did I got posted at 31k dps on a pure sci build (no torps or kemo) on a science captian. My fleet and the people I was with said that was extremely impressive but I'm not too sure. Oh well I play for fun.

Side note I was told my dps spiked to 150K every minute which would have been when my skills rotated.

Well, the Scimitar is a carrier of sorts...

As for Sci ships; the Dev position on this is that they don't sell.

Ofc they don't sell, they made it so underpowered. Having exotic dmg is great but wait... you only have a few abilities that can do exotic dmg and the cd is way too long. All my Sci captains are on escorts or cruisers, never found a way to make a worthy Sci Exotic Ship.
    So :
    - Only 3 fore/aft weapons slots
    - Sensor Analysis that take too much time to reach its full potential and always cancelled
    - Poor exotic abilities
    - Sci captain don't have exotic abilities, only buff, debuff and some dps (photonic fleet)
    - Secondary deflector don't help at all
I am from Belgium and english isn't my main language, sorry if I make mistakes.

Err, sorry, but my Sci in a FT6 Intrepid manages to pull aggro, tank and kill and it's Sci powers are devastating. We Sci's have a plethora of abilities to chose from, and Photonic Fleet is one of the best abilities in terms of usefulness (despite people saying they don't do enough DPS, which I disagree). Sci captains are very useful for crowd control, and just try chucking an Isometric Charge into a Grav Well'ed pack.

Just trying run a Sci ship with Rom and Borg Weapon sets, believe me you don't need to worry too much about powerdrain! Sensor Analysis is a multi-function ability designed to help take out big bosses, not tadpoles and the Secondary Deflector is great for boosting drain and burn abilities.

For a small ship, if well put together, it can out last most ships, and isn't fragile, just mis-understood.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

    Exactly this ^

Science ships can do what many escorts can do it just takes time, patience, and a very specific build and playstyle.

sorry derailing, a t6 dyson would be nice,

5 offensive weapons one of which the proton cannon and the tac cmd for active cannons, it's one of the best openers.
(lt) cmdr tac maybe a dedicated 4 slot for opener, since you can use the 4th slot for an opener and switch to sci mode and keep the buff.

    cmd uni pilot
    lt cmd uni int
    sci cmd

    3 engi consoles
    5 sci consoles
    3 tact consoles

    pref 5(tact)4:3

You are pretty much new then......

In this game you either obtain 400 keys to open lock boxes or you grind away your dilithium/EC and not upgrade gear. In the end its best to make due with what you got till you can be sure to obtain something better.

One thing I do agree though.. They need to bring romulans into the light as well which I have a feeling will be something later on... as content and such become tighter.

P.S. there is a way to macro a single button to activate boff skills and other skills in your skill tray so all that delay on clicking skills vanishes everyone who has played sto for a while knows this and yes its perfectly fine as its done using the games keybinding function within the game.
