I would like for it to happen, but frankly I think the fact that the KDF can get a fleet D7 must've gotten backdoored in without CBS tossing a hissyfit somehow. I think the chances of a T6 version are Slim and none, and Slim has his carkeys in hand.

I really wouldn't mind a D7/K't'inga for KDF and yes the Romulans too. The T'liss just isn't enough given the size of the other two (Connie being the other). The deal between the Klingons and Romulans makes that ship for Roms highly plausible. The problem might be it's based on a old ship. That's less of a concern than the poor Connie (which I wouldn't mind seeing for the Feds) given the D7/K't'ingas were in active service in DS9 when the Enterprise, brand new from The Voyage Home, was decomissioned at the tail end of Undiscovered Country. I might not get any T5 or T6 Connie or K't'inga myself, but I do like seeing them. I'd still put some chips on the poker table saying it will happen, but I do have to work to keep my poker face. ( )
This would probably be the easiest thing to implement for KDF and Roms. Slight tweaks, a slightly different texture, bam. Two ships for the effort of one (for Cryptic). I'd love to see it.

Yeah, the D7 has the one-up over the Connie, given that the Connie was seemingly across-the-board decommissioned. The D7 / K'tinga seemed to still be a mainstay of the KDF fleet right up to the end of the on-screen timeline, so it's entirely plausible that the Republic and Klingon Empire can commission a 2400s-era refit of the class. Symbolic in a way, too, given that it's a renewed alliance between the powers.

I found Fasa's Klingon ship recognition manual a very interesting read. The Klingons had many iterations of this ship. They just kept finding ways to improve on it and make unique designs of it for specialized missions. Certainly seems plausible, and as you say, viewers saw it right up until the end of the on-screen timeline. Not the best ship in space, but a robust design with a long life span. It even served with the Romulans for a time, which considering the relations between those two factions, says something about the ship itself.
Though I support one. Why would the Romulans need to steal any more? It's not TOS any more, they have their own ships, better ships than the Klingons at that.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

The Klingons could have given decommissioned ones to the Romulan republic to use in the war, leaving it up to republic engineers to get them running again.

Hey, that's a good in-game reasoning. I can just see the KDF engineers talking to the Republic shipyards...
"You liked these ships before, right? We've got a lot of them in storage that aren't going to be used. You can have them, but they need a lot of work."
I know it's just my opinion and I am aware that it's only 'soft canon', but if it's not good enough for Ael t'Rllaillieu then it's not good enough for me. I'm trying to think of the romulan words for 'klingon used ship salesman' and 'lemon'. I'll take free one but there will be no zen spent on a D-7.
How come Rommies don't have access to D7's in STO when they clearly had them in TOS? This has always confused me. Would be fun for my Rommie character to whiz around in a T5 (hell, even a T5-U if I could push my luck!) D7.

Rommies alied with the KDF have access to D7's (or at least the skin) in the form of the K'Tinga. Or are we asking for the really old version which is probably on the par with the T'Liss. Cuz I'd probably buy it anyway. : )

i don't believe they have better ships than the kdf what they do have is better space traits and some space magic reactor abilities.
Trophies for killing FEDS ahh those were the days.
