Mine Trap Battle Zone

While space combat does seem to be the preferred experience to a majority of the players, there still remains a large faction that wants to spend more time on ground. Battle zones have been a great avenue for these players to get their characters out of the command chair and get their feet wet. (Thank you devs for the Breen, Dyson and Kobali prime BZ. Honestly, i havn't checked out the badlands yet.)

The few times i managed to get enough players together to cue mine trap, i gotta say, i loved it. The only problems with it really were that you needed so many players for it to cue, and I seem to remember that the rep rewards were a bit limited.

The M113 creature could be worked into the storyline a number of ways. First of all, it was an ancient civilization--perhaps one that had had interactions with the iconians, Or it could be an offshoot of the Changelings (note the original creature was intended to be a shape shifter--not just one that sent mental projections). we could also say that the lone creature that the Enterprise C ran into was the last crazed survivor of a failed colony of that race which has remained hidden through the centuries--perhaps the Ba'neth from delta quadrant?

However it gets worked into the storyline, i think Mine Trap could work as a BZ. if the evil iconian is behind it, we could throw in Heralds as bosses, if a changeling faction, then one of those. Or we could go with something totally new, like a Queen Salt Sucker.

and for rep payout: fleet or last rep--meaning the rep prior to the newest one--because there's always fewer ways to get that than any other.
