Protector of Freedom: The UPDATED Recruiting Thread

On a seemingly forgotten Dominion War era listening station, situated in the Typhon Expanse, resides a unique group. The are made up of active and former Starfleet members, as well as civilians. Lead by a woman known to most as "The Admiral," They work and fight, gather resources and try to thrive. Who are they? Where did they come from? What caused them to be in such a place?

Five years ago, while serving in a Task Force, Captain Tamarin, Commander Cyrus Lysander, and a then young Commodore named Sun'dara Amri were assigned to the Listening Station after daring to go against the wishes of certain Starfleet higher ups. See, quite a few years ago, those higher ups had made a grave error, and a sentient AI was the cost. Her name was Talon and she had been rumored as destroyed. Many mourned her loss. As the station grew, individuals with questionable pasts and hidden talents became part of the crew. Intelligence officer, Sorit, knew about Talon and discovered she had not been destroyed... she had been sold. As this violated Federation standards, the crew of the Task Force went out and rescued Talon. The higher-ups acted swiftly to cover their crooked tracks.

The abandoned listening station, known to Starfleet as 721, and to others as Haven, became their new home. Joining those officers and Talon were: Bajoran Dr. Caleb Thornton, the Vulcan/Romulan Ambassador T'kayeda, Romulan Kirina, Betazoid Chief Tactical Officer Cleopatra Monroe and her co-Chief Ketel'lain, Caitians P'kyss and Sylva, CO Commodire Crio Ljoula, Captain Anise Jurani and many more. All had secrets or talents which Starfleet really wanted to keep hidden or safe.

They quickly began bartering goods and talents with local systems, and later with a couple of sector bases. T'kayeda worked tirelessly to make sure at least food and medical supplies were stocked -while hiding a deep secret. Cyrus came up with programs to teach ex-comps how to cut needed items from scrap. Others kept enemies at bay. Dr. Thornton managed to keep everyone intact. Sun'dara kept track of the flood of refugee civilians. Through Sorit she learned of factors and numbers which could lead to some very big problems for the small station. Soon the efforts to band the group of "misfits" together paid off. Their first colony was founded, complete with its own civilian fleet, and the station is nearly self-sufficient. However, they are always looking over their shoulders. Hirogen, Tholians, Rouges and Tal Shiar are not the only enemies close at hand...

((Hey there! @Wyrrlicci and @ddraigswife here. We're setting up this updated post as a recruiting effort. We are a small fleet, but that hasn't stopped us from being amazing! All fleet holdings are maxed out! ANYWAY, as you may be able to tell from the story we are someone of an "Island of Misfit Toys" kind of fleet. However, we stay close to cannon while creating awesome stories. There is lots of RP and lots of PVE as well. If you are interest, then my all means contact either @Wyrrlicci or @ddraigswife and we will set you up with some intro RP!))

I don't care what the header says, I am not now, nor have I ever been, nor will I ever be, an "ARC user".
