(ANSWERED) Why are some foods more INCREDIBLY sought after than others?

After collecting some drops, I decided to see if I could sell a few items on the Exchange rather than just dump them into my replicator recycler.

Aldeberan whiskey, Chateau Picard, Tranya......all pennies and not even worth a look.

Klingon Gladst......upwards of 100,000 and sometimes into the 200k's. I can't figure out why. Not that I'm complaining as I made bankola on two orders of the stuff. Anyone?

    Some of them require certain species and rarity of Bartender and Chef DOffs to replicate, then you've got ones like Gladst, Heart of Targ, Comet Cocktails and such that are used for the 'Extreme Bartending' and 'Culinary Credentials' assignment chains...

    Got it. Barely glanced at those doff missions. Since we can't log in ATM, what are the rewards of those missions? (if you can recall)

    Yes it does, if you feed it to the right "parent" species.
