Potential new KDF ship

I thought about a new ship the KDF could come up with, one they intend to use for testing purpose's. It's design would be based on the Annorax, a ship built around a weapon array, in this case the Iconian portal ability. Unlike the Herald lockbox ships, this one would only open a portal for a second or so because its not as advanced, but it would be enough to cause a scissoring effect against an enemy vessel.

Also, i cant decide whether it would be a Gorn or Orion ship, so i say it should be a hybrid ship with designs from both species, something J'mpok ordered them to do.

    ... word choice is important... my mind went elsewhere....

    otherwise not a bad idea, science flavour obviously which the KDF desperately need.

    If not a spacegun with a bridge, then how about the ships bow opens up like the Firemirror from "Godzilla vs Biollante", or the mechanism pops-up out of the hull?
