If you fail a mission in the admiralty system is it gone for good, or can you try again?

Apologies if this has been asked, but I haven't seen it here on the forums. With all the complaints I've seen about the high requirements (particularly science) for some of the missions in Admiralty and the lack of ships for two of the factions to compensate, I wondered if it were possible to redo a failed mission? If so the high requirements don't really matter as you'll eventually get lucky and succeed. If not it kinda sucks....

Well, I've failed the tour of duty assignments on some characters, and have been able to try them again, on them. That said, I'm not sure about the other missions. I haven't been paying much attention to the names, but I can't see why they wouldn't be repeatable.

Unless you think they created an infinite number of Missions I would say that they will show up again.

I don't understand - do you think this Thread will be locked or do you use that signature for every post?

It's his signature. So yeah, that automatically gets added to all of his posts.

Good question, was wondering about this too. I doubt missions will be entirely gone. It'd mean that if you fail enough missions, you wouldn't be able to use the system anymore. That's highly unlikely.

you forget this system is very much the same as the doff system, missions will endlessly repeat whether you succeed or fail, the only ones that will not endlessly repeat are the chain missions that will only repeat until you succeed.
so have no fear if you fail any missions it not the end of the world.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

Yes, it's my sig. I haven't gotten around to changing it. I switched it to that after the migration to vanilla when posts were regularly firestorms and getting locked.

The reason I asked was some people change up the sigs based upon the situation. And these days you're never quite sure what will get locked. :)
