Considering this is supposed to be a whole new season I really dont see anything that is new ? Maybe I missed something ?
1. We have a revamp of some old story. So I dont consider this new.
2. We have doffing in space, which serves very little purpose. Essentially exactly the same as current doffing, but seems designed to make us buy more ships.....
3. We have a new story mission. Which seems it will be around for several weeks as we get a "Special" peice of gear for repeating it over and over and over and over and over, which will then sit in the bank unsued.
4. We have a new voth... Sorry, I mean terran playground at the badlands. Again, nothing really new, just a rehash of something we already have.
5. A new STF that will likely be dead in 1-2 months time like the rest of them, leaving only the Borg ones being played.
Is this really considered a whole new season ? I have to say I am incredibly dissapointed :-(

Feel free to compare S11 to other Seasons STO has had. FYI, "Season" isn't a one patch affair but a lot is done in that initial seasonal patch.

Only thing I enjoyed was the new episode.
Crashing was more fun!

2) Yea the admiralty. Had fun with it until I discovered that a success in 30 minute assignments lead to 20 hour cd times on your ship cards. Well I will play the new system when I click the doffs for some additional XP/Dil but – lol – certainly won’t by new ships for this nonsense.
3) New Story mission. Yea that’s cool for the spec point. Perhaps I run it over the weekend one time if I don’t happen to by too annoyed by the rest.
4) New battle zone. I checked it out… for like 10 minutes before boredom set it. Right, it’s like the old space battle zone which was equally boring.
5) I also think that Cryptic gave birth to two dead children with the new queues. I intend to torture my 9 toons through reputs with em but under consideration of their time-gated nature and slim rewards despite the players performance I doubt I set foot on em ever again after that. If the other PvE maps would all be like that I'd quit this game today.
If I take additional annoyances like crashes to desctop and bugs that prohibit peeps to get the daily terran mark reward in the new queues into account… yea this new season is a huge disappointment after just 8h of play.

The queues are now perpetually dead, I've decided. Before the Season started, after...and they've now also eliminated my beloved Mine Trap and also The Breach! I want scheduled events back, which guarantee players. Why they stopped those is beyond me and also, who the hell thought up the "plot" of this Mirror Universe expansion? It makes no sense!
You know a quick comparison of the Season 6 and season 11 feature list would seem to suggest otherwise.
With the revamp we effectively have 5 episodes shipping this season. And the zone, and the PVE's, and the new system. Season 6 just offered up the new system, PVE's, and the zone (which was a much more one-dimensional grind fest.) I really can't see your point. Look at the effort that went into season 10. Are you really going to say that having 3 episodes more than any other STO season (and the other customary features to boot, which the last 5 episode season lacked) is slacking off?
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence

Never done an event, I just reclaimed all my old ships & the free one's, T5 up & have 20, 4 are lock box ships, could reclaim more T1-T4 but spend zen on ship doffing no chance.
So far season 11
Is it really difficult? Sure, you can't bring every mission to a 100 % success rate, but you can still do missions and there are quite a few low difficulty missions.
And if I understand things correctly, the system can also eventually reward extra ships for the Admiralty system.
I'm not sure why the OP expected the entire season of content at one time. I realize that Netflix releases TV shows like this, but most other times a season is an extended period of time where new episodes (content) are introduced over a period of time.
In this release, we got a new story mission, 2 STF ques, the Admiralty system and a Battle Zone. Now, everyone will have a different opinion on how much they enjoy this content, so setting that aside.. that's a pretty hefty amount of content for the beginning of the season.
I honestly think that sometimes people don't stop and think about the man hours that are required to add content like this. To develop new ques, to write and code the story line missions, to design a battle zone and try and compensate for all the things that could possibly go wrong or be exploited if broken. I can't help but think it has to be discouraging for developers to put in so much time and effort just to open the forum and read threads like this.
There are things that need work, the battle zone has some bugs, there are some mark reward issues, all of which are being addressed. That being the case, I have actually enjoyed the majority of the new content and haven't done it all yet. I have played several MMO's, and I can tell you that Star Trek Online is absolutely one of the most active when it comes to adding and updating content.
This season just started, there is still more stuff coming. It's not like this last update was the entire thing. Take your time and enjoy the ride. It's more enjoyable that way.
It could be 1 exp a month and they'd still say thank you. So knowing that it was kind of odd to see them un-nerf the delta rising exp nerfs and let the rewards halfway return to normal.
I take it the whales are done grinding spec points by now but still what incentive do whales have to play admirality system at this point - so it kind of felt like, content for the people who refused to level on the delta rising nerf regime and then shafting the whales?
I mean I don't know what the admirality rewards are on higher tiers maybe they worth going for, for whales too.
At the same time, they had a full year to learn from the dead queues fiasco, "it's a reporting error" I take it they are still investigating, and to come up with solutions, I guess it's hard to admit you were wrong.
Because the admirality is a text based singleplayer game make no mistake about it and is very easy to create but mostly I shrug at more non-multiplayer features, in a mmo.
For example, when you revamp old episodes why not give people an an actual incentive to play those - up the rewards to balance and match time-reward gameplay elsewhere. Are people really going to play a story mission for a green level trash minigun.
Other, newer story missions I found, you can't play with friends at all. I find it surprising is all.
We can debate choice of strategy to fix the dead queues but there has been no action whatsoever.
And I say from day 1, when season 7 was about to launch, map specfic rewards keep people playing all maps. To me, as a dumb moron with no education, it's elementary.
So delta rising nerf everything until completely dys-functional then slap on magic the gathering admirality text game with un-nerfed rewards and let all else stay broken.
At least letting the queues stay dead for this long un-answered is some guy's misunderstood pride refusing to admit he was wrong, not so much to the customers but rather in the office.
Season 11 I don't know, I kind of feel like most of the game is still in the shadow of the delta rising flop and the nerfs that made people leave.
I think my biggest disappointment at this point is that I can't even login (I am a mac user) and play the game.
I really look forward to the new mission, the new STF and revamps, but other than that there is nothing overexciting about the new content (yet). I love doing missions but I hear the rewards are a bit on the low side.
I never liked those space battle zones, although badlands sounds fun. I just wish there was other type of missions there. ( I admit I never touched the Undine ones, before I was more into ground .. now I am getting better at space)
I wish they had made STF based badlands mission that is more than just pew pew and disable this and that. I wish they would have some missions within the badlands instead (including ground). Just something different, a ground battle zone in badlands would have been an epic idea. Perhaps a world made up by photons .. and when you levelled though the zone you find out you are trapped in a ship with gigantic photonics generators... i don't know.. just something fun and different.
I will enjoy the docking system once that is out...
I was hyped about that mirror uniform but it looks like it's not even an available item.
Another reputation system is nothing new.
Admiral-system its just another doffing system, so nothing exciting with that, besides I have only event ships and perhaps one or two T5 and T6 ships to use.
Yeah so I guess the only thing I will really look forward is the new missions and possibly the new STF. I hope there are some good ground STF.
I would love the possibility to actually play a cardassian. However I know that there is huge amount of work and I guess investment in creating such content.
Seasons not over yet I'm sure it's coming (it better be)

your exploring using the now admiralty ship system for doffing... you just need to write your own fan fiction for all those ships you send out to explore strange new worlds etc...
not really... they drag out the release to boost metrics. they use to release all the content at once... play at your leisure. now its play when we dictate so we can boost our numbers.
It was really nice to see Cryptic managed to avoid a server meltdown.
Episode 1 came off as a nice intro and it might turn out to be the best story so far. The new Admirality-system is enjoyable, with great Awards. It was a treat to play through the revamped old cardassian-episodes. Really pretty and well made.
The battle-zone, I haven't gotten to yet, so I can't comment on that part.
I want to use this opportunity to say; thanks, devs. Awesome stuff You are doing. This one is very happy.
Nope, you are wrong. They have never, ever, released the entire season's content at once. They have always released more things after the initial release, leading up to the next season.

Dyson season release... all of it was at once. it wasnt 1 new episode a week. wasnt here for the 2nd wave or breen arcs... did they add more to dyson as the months went on... yes but those were mid seasons updates.
