ok, so i've run it twice and the mirror escort carriers insta kill me with their torp spreads, anyone else having this happen?
btw any replies of 'learn to play' etc will just prove how lame you are...

What difficulty are you playing it on?
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

normal, with T6 ships that can survive ISA, so it's not me, but thanks for assuming it's my fault. grab a lame badge on your way out....
I did not mean it that way, I fly a T6 Fleet Excelsior and some of those spreads are nasty but survivable in cruisers, though I suspect escorts and sci ships will have more problems due to their lower hull hp.
I'll have to run a few tests in my T6 Pathfinder to get more information on this theory

My Intel cruiser goes untouched through Cyrstaline catastrophe advanced and can take on a cube in the Cure Found advanced without any effort, with nearly 150% defense. They forced me to use Miracle Worker for the first time in looong time...
So yeah, I'd say there is something going on in Counterpoint...

Happened to my Excelsior in the badlands battlezone, shields went down and boom ista killed by a quantum spread

I just did Counterpoint again after someone pointed something out: your shields DROP when beaming up and down assault teams, and sure enough, that's what happens. Are you freakin kidding me!? This game has NEVER gone by the logic of having to lower your shields in order to transport! Now after 5 YEARS the devs decide to implement that? IN AN STF WITH NPCS THAT SPAM TORPS AT YOU THAT DO, ON AVERAGE, 10K DAMAGE PER HIT!?
Oh, it's not enough that these npcs hit harder than they should, or the fact they're running Phasers meaning your shields can drop at anytime anyways (or any other subsystem), oh no, now we gotta deal with our shields HAVING to be offline for no good reason! I don't care if it make sense in the Star Trek universe, they never put that in the game, so why now? And the mission doesn't even tell you this happens! The past couple days, I was just under the impression the Mirror ships were just getting extremely lucky with Phaser procs.
Like with everything else in this game: FIX IT CRYPTIC!

The sheer amount of phaser fire alone hurts. Even if it's 2.5% like the player phaser, that many hits are going to produce noticeable results. So far the only time I've died in my Nebula is when I had the misfortune to take about 3 spreads within 3 seconds when my shields were down for transport
Picking up the assault troops is a bit hit and miss I find. If you can get to do it unnoticed then you are fine but if any Terran's are near you the second you shield drops they lay down some serious hurt on you.
But....after playing most of the Borg missions with effectively no shields I just try to hull-tank the damage and get out fast.
Torpedo spread's aren't the issue I find, it's those escorts with the phaser point defense system. If you get to close they can knock all sorts of stuff offline due to their fire/proc rates.
Just run this on normal and got a pitiful 19 marks. That was for DS9 keeping 97% health, Terrok Nor down to 56% average health, 4 portals closed, 7 teams landed.
I really hope they vastly improve the rewards or i'm just gonna be ignoring the latest queues from now on.

Not in the six times I've done it on advanced.
