Whats going to happen regards excess specialization points???

Theres been no news about new specializations in season 11 and at the moment, it looks like we won't get any.
Whats going to happen regards excess spec points? I finished all my spec trees ages ago and now have the excess 10 spec points spare.
I understand dilithium used to be available until it was stopped. Are the spec points going to just be abandoned or are we going to get something for them?
Hopefully a dev will see this and maybe give us some info as to whats going on.

It almost seems like a mistake that anyone has excess spec points at all. It hought the Spec to Dilithium feature had been reactivated quite a while ago. Or is this due to the spec points tokens we could get from weekly featured episode replays?

Spec to Dilithium is reactivated. Any surpluss points come from Featured Episode rewards or event rewards such as the 2 free points today in the C-Store promo menu. These to my knowledge are not converted at this time and are kept until further notice.

I still want to see commando expanded. I'm guessing the only reason it hasn't is because they can't think of any way to monetize it.

At the moment my additional spec points pile up beyond 105 wherever they come from.

There is no Dil payout for me. I can live with that just fine because Dil is like 100 times easier to get that those spec points. I hope they will just continue to mount up for whenever we get a new or enhanced specialization.

you have all the spec trees full aye? sounds like a first world problem for leet types
though to be fair if i had that much i wouldn't mind being able to trade away points for dilthium packages or something that leet types can actually use.

So, you rush through a year (or two) of grind, and now ask...... what now ?
    Nothing.
    Big fat nothing.

So much for the crippling XP gains.... What happened to those ?

Now that said, if I hadn't split my time between 2 toons, I'd be there as well. Currently they are over half done on each respectively.

But still... the average player is no where near finished the spec trees. :P

Did you complain about your XP being endlessly stockpiled as useless Expertise after level 50, back before the spec trees existed? If not, why are you complaining about it now? At least the spare spec points are potentially useful in the future.

I suspect so, too. Which might also make them hesitant to realize new trees. If so many people are still grinding for the ones that we already have...

I don't have any character with maxed out spec, but many level 60+x characters. I think only two or three might have maxed out enough to have one primary and one secondary fully filled.

I am nowhere near done leveling characters to 60, let alone filling up any of my spec trees. I can wait. Nothing wrong with people stockpiling spec points in anticipation for the next specialization. I'm sure Cryptic isn't done creating them any more than they're done creating new ships.

To be Clear, the "Special Reward" Spec Points from the Weekley Mission Plays and this weeks freebies do not count towards the Spec Point Cap. Thats why some people have 5-9 Spec Points Piled up.

Once I saw just how much of a grind every spec point was going to take after 60 and how little progress any of the content I liked doing made towards spec points I cut back to just a few captains and consider spec points to only come from FE reward boxes after 60. Which I'm sure was totally their intended effect of pandering to the church of the One True Main crowd.

Hit the last tier of *a* spec on two captains, no where close to filling out a tree on any of them. Unless you're a One True Mainist grinding nothing but Argala there doesn't seem to be a way to make headway in spec points.

Thx for this, I thought it was bug... well they should at least make a clear description about this somewhere (i.e. in item Info).
Now, how many of them I open...
