Best lockbox to open?

Hey guys,

Ive found myself with like 20 keys
and im just wondering what the best boxes to open would be ?

I think the Xindi-Terrestrial did contain the Kemocite Laced Weaponry Tactical Bridge Officer ability.
The Tal'Shiar lockbox contains the Plasmaonic Leech, also always popular on the Exchange and useful to have.

The Xindi-Terrestrial also offers a Tier 6 ship, while the Tal'Shiar lockbox only has a Tier 5 ship.
But remember: The chances of getting one of the highly sought after item isn't really better than getting the ship. It's in the end still a gamble ,and the chances are so low to begin with that even doubling your chance to get something precious doesn't mean anything.

Just selling the keys on the exchange might make more sense.

I would say Xindi-Terrestrial. Not only do you have a chance to get the T6 Xindi Insectoid escort, you also have a chance to get the Kemocite-Laced Weaponry training manual. It's like two grand prizes in one box.

The secondary prizes are the Malon Battlecruiser (meh) and the plasmatic biomatter weapons. Plasmatic biomatter has a chance to deal a 1km AOE and slow down ships by 50% for 10 seconds.

Also right now they have a last-chance lockbox event where you should be able to get all the lockboxes for a small amount of dilithium from the dilithium store. I would suggest stocking up on this box. It seems to be the most popular.

Lets say youre after Kemo 1 (about 150 mil on the exchange)
that's a good 40-45 dollars worth of keys.
On this item, its getting to the point you may as well open the lockboxes yourself.
you figure with 45 $ worth of zen, you'd be able to open 40ish boxes.
So for this particular box, its really getting to the point where you may as well gamble for yourself, honestly.
Buying Kemo 1 off the exchange at this point is becoming more and more questionable.

But, then again, you could get kemo2 or kemo3 while opening and no kemo 1.
Usually its a no brainer, to just buy the item from the exchange, but at this point with the inflation on Kemo1.
It's really not so cut and dry.

While the box event is tempting to blow through your keys it's probably better to sell them each and stock up on sought after boxes like the ones with kemo & leech.

About a month ago the exchange went crazy for a couple days and people bought the terrestial boxes for 150-200k EACH. Sold about 120 of those babies mayself.

50-60% of all lockboxes have DOff packs as the primary bonus, another 25% have some minor equipment/trait unlock. Ships are well below 0.5%, so plan accordingly...

TBH every lockbox worth it. Everything is crazy expensive on the exchange. But yeah, you need to actually win something from the lockbox to sell....

After all the crying that "certain" people have been doing about the Kemocite, a big nerf is on the scope for it.

If by "get" you mean "have a slight chance of getting if you open 50+ lock boxes."

If you have a jhdc then the dominion box is what you want for the bug

No JHAS OR JHSS comes with that Lockbox. The JHHEC is the ship prize in that one. The Bugs only from Special Promotions on C-Store 'Premium' Duty Officer Packs.
