I havn't heard about anything new being added.

The Mirror Odyssey Uniforms were Pulled, and it seems we now know why. They are going to be using an new custom outfit which just looks amazing!

ps, although it has a little artistic license, this isn't far off from what we see in-game.

Still not buying Mirror Leeta as ruler of the Terran Empire after what the Terrans did to Mirror Bajor. Waiting for the day we see Gul Kanril Eleya shoot her in the face as a traitor to the Bajoran people.

Maybe Mirror Leeta was able to take power from O'brien during or after the Iconian war?
Why do I still play and put money into STO?

Skimpy uniforms are mirror-canon to show how "devious" the MU is. But THAT is ridiculous.

Yeah, I meant that. What the brit said pig-2.gif One could also add "corrupt" to it. Skimpy clothes are evil. But in this case, they actually are.

No, corrupt as in the job of female Terran military personnel until the Klingon-Cardassian conquest was to sexually service their male crewmates. They actually fought over the right to be the "Captain’s woman", i.e. the CO's personal sex slave, because it meant comparatively better treatment: they only had to get TRIBBLE by ONE guy instead of the entire crew.

Why Leeta is wearing it, given that context, is well beyond my ability to tease out. The Terran Empire in this game just took the "complete and utter frakking nonsense" crown away from "Butterfly".

If Leta is choosing (while in a command position) to wear that for some reason; I'd say Bajor has spent to long under their evil human overlords. Maybe she didn't get proper socialization when she was younger.
    Think I'd prefer this still:

Why is the universe with more liberal ideas toward personal clothing the evil one? Seems like a more lase fair dress code would be the sign of an enlightened society, not one which routinely commits brutal acts of repression for the sake of established authority.

    That's it, I'm defecting for short-shorts. :P

I wouldn't say clothing itself is evil. If you think about it it has alot to do with culture and world view of a person preceaving the outfit. For example based on the screenshot of Leeta up there- we might assume that women aren't highly valued in the Terran empire. Or maybe are simply expected to show a ridiculous amount of skin to be taken seriously- I don't know.

    See. France versus North Korea.

What the "attractive women wearing less clothing than we're comfortable with = evil" idea is derived from is an immediate contradiction of present social conventions.

"Something that we personally don't approve of in open society (ex. Spock's Lenin-esque facial hair in American 1960's television)? *Gasp*, that's EVIL!!!! Burn it with fire!"

It's visual short hand for an idea (they aren't the same as us) but which misrepresents the broader social trend at work in the iconography (it seems to negatively correlate to repressive regimes and social institutions (particularly when women aren't valued by society). The mirror universe having all grey SF uniforms as opposed to Red/Blue/Gold probably would have been more appropriate for the intended fiction. As it is, the United Federation of No-short-shorts is going to be minus at least one captain come season 11. :P)

It's possible- I'm not sure how much time has passed since DS9 and the Dominion war and the game.
Personally i hope not- I'm using a family member of his as a foundry villain. I might be able to find a work around though.

~40 years, plus a few to cover the gap between DS9 and Nemesis. O'brien prime could still be kicking around somewhere (which I'd personally love to see as a mid-season plot development (culminating in a cross-universe darts match) but then again I don't have anything at stake. :))

@duncanidaho11 : I think @zionus0 was talking about James O'Brien, as in the head of the Terran Empire in the old storyline who was the son of Mirror Miles O'Brien and had killed his father in a coup.

Right so- I'm using the granddaughter of Miles O'Brien (old story line perspective) I think this could still work though.

That's why I qualified by "prime" (insert "even" after "could" and that was my intention with the statement. :P)

The 40+ allows for both to be players in the Terran Empire. I also don't think that there would be any insurmountable conflict between new plot and old foundry missions except if it was explicitly stated how many children Smiley Sr. had and which were captains/commanders in the Terran navy. Even if they add another Smiley Jr., or resort back to Smiley Sr., you can always write James in as the other son.
