The Loading Screen Freeze Game... does the server not like me....

Every time I get another update, the game of trying to get the Game to load up begins again. Is it some kind of glitch that makes the server not recognize it own game... or is it just me.

It would be nice if this weird glitch was resolved soon so 10-30 minutes were not wasted on this useless part of the Game.

    I had this problem a while back. Think it had to do with the proxy server settings.

    Also if you installed Windows 10 recently, it might have to do with you needing to redo Administration privaleges to STO.

    Never experienced this issue myself (not that I deny others do experience it tho). But would a complete reinstall of STO help? I remember that around Legacy of Romulus I ended up with the Black Death on all ground characters in the game. I still don't know what it was, but a reinstalling helped there.​​

    you can disable patch-on-demand. I heard it should solve that problem, especially if admin privileges is an issue. It means you'd have a one time on start up (per patch) long patch time.

    I've been fighting this for a while. Try this:

    1) under options on the launch window, select safe mode, launch game

    2) go to options, select the direct x you're using, and use the sliders to bring your graphics back up

    3) play

    I get random loading screen crashes all the time... Both in safe mode and in normal mode. No amount of adjusting graphics settings works. It happens most often while transferring to or from a planetary map (I now officially avoid DS9 like it's got a plague).

    I do not have Win 10, I still have Win 8 (don't laugh)... And I see the patch notes almost every week say something like "resolved issues causing crashes at map changes" with no change to the game... I'm wondering if the map change loading screens are the cause...

    Hmm how do you get steam to launch as admin?

    I only ever had this problem whenever I tried to use DX11. I have no problems when using DX9. This is despite the fact my laptop has DX11 installed.

    I have been experiencing this issue for the last 2 days. today i let it just sit there and went about other tasks for an hour and when i came back to my pc it had un-frozen and completed the loading screen. i got the issue when trying to dock with DS9. I am running Win10 but did a fresh install of STO 3 days ago .
