Along with the T'varo leak, a T6 Ha'apax is supposed to be out there as well. Odd thing is that it might have a hangar bay (which I personally don't want on it) and almost makes it seem like they're trying to make it into a Scim.
T6 Scimitar seems like a no-brainer, and I'm personally at little surprised we haven't seen it yet...
I'm surprised that you're surprised. Think of it this way. Does the T5 Scimitar still sell? Probably. It's still one of the very best ships in the game. Now think about the T5 D'deridex. Did you see any of those flying around anywhere? Do you think they actually sold? Probably not. Releasing a T6 version of the D'deridex very likely generated a ton of more sales compared to T5's at the same point in time. Now releasing a T6 Scimitar would definitely generate sales but there would also be a level of cannibalization. It's better for Cryptic to let the T5 sell for as long as it can and squeeze all of the money possible out of it before releasing it's replacement. At which point, the T5 will likely never sell again.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Cryptic is in a tough place with the Scimitar for the reasons you just said.
The Scimitar still sells, it's currently still considered one of the best ships in the game and is hands down one of the best ships available for Romulans. If they released a T6 version, it would have to be good enough to encourage people who currently have T5 versions to jump to T6. It would also have to be good enough to replace the T5 in sales from that time forward. The way to do that? by giving it a massively overpowered starship trait.
Simply put, the ship would have to have a huge level of power to convince players it's worth 3k Zen to 'upgrade' to T6. Doing this however, causes a whole world of problems with power creep, player backlash, not to mention the possibility that they will render all currently strong selling T6 ships (Vastam) moot and undesirable. The last thing you want to do is have one ship that's the clear cut 'best' ship in the game. A T6 Scimitar will probably be that exact ship.
The make or break feature of the T6 Scimitar will be the trait. It has to be good enough that players will desire it, but not so great that it turns it into a 'god ship' that renders everything else obsolete. It's a design task that I don't envy because I don't know how they will possibly pull it off. The ship is already very powerful, it's going to be difficult to add enough to it to make players want it, but not so much that it's going to go way over the top.
The T'varo needs love with a T6. Imagine a T6 T'Varo with intel abilities. Bring able to fire everything except beams/cannons while cloaked. Me wants. Forget the Scimitar. Show the T'Varo some love.
oh wait cant the faeht do that? the t'varro is outclassed in every form and fashion by the faeht intel warbird unless u just want that destabilized plasma torpedo. but then the plasma lance outclasses that too. there's absolutely no reason for a t6 t'varro

Just because a ship won't be better than another ship doesn't mean there's no reason for it. Why make anything after the Scimitar, if that were the case?
This is a sandbox game full of fans of the franchise, some of whom are willing to spend money on things they want. If Cryptic thinks there's enough money in giving people a T6 T'varo, they will. Whether nor not other ships are better is irrelevant to them.
I'd love to see T6 versions of the Ha' ships. A T6 Ha'nom would be awesome.
Since a T6 Ha'pax is rumored, I don't see why the other parts couldn't get some T6 love. Figure the Ha'pax with LTC command, the Ha'feh with LTC pilot and the Ha'nom with LTC intel..... Now if they did the ship art so that the Ha'feh didn't look like a pregnant fish and the Ha'nom didn't look like a garbage truck with wings and BOFF layouts that were useful I would buy at least the Ha'nom.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though. JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

Well now that the dev blog says the skins from the T6 Ha'pax can be used on the Ha'feh and Ha'nom does this mean perhaps T6 versions of those are incoming. Since the art assets are already there why not release a ship -- sort of what happened with the Pathfinder. The Ha'nom part of the Ha'pax doesn't look much like a garbage truck with wings anymore -- with the right set up I would pick that up for sure (assuming the rumored T6 T'varo doesn't disappoint).
Which reminds me I should have converted more dil to zen this weekend. Now the exchange is going to go back up substantially before I get home.

Exactly what I think as well, with entirely new hulls using the more refined design language that is currently being used.
By that I mean looking less like winged phallus.

Not every new thing has to be the best thing.
