zefram cochrane shotgun for Delta Recruits?

in Star Trek Online General Discussion
So the Dev's have found a way to alow our Delta Recruits access to Event-only ships. Now I'd like to know if there is any chance of the same thing happening for items like the Zefram Cochrane Shotgun, or the Shard of Possibilities?
Or have the Dev's even said anything related to items like these?

    Put them in the Dilithium Store Reclaim Tab if one or more alts on the account have them unlocked. That should be doable. Making it available for an account that never unlocked it on any character - not very likely unless they provide them as an alternative choosable reward on the Event Replay in question.

    That would be nice, and for future alts in general.

    I'm hoping for a new Delta Recruit type event someday since I'd like to replace two of my captains and I need an excuse to level new characters.

    The Shard will become available when they do a Featured Episode Replay (whenever the hell they get around to that). They are probably having nightmares thinking about giving out free Lobi so until they come up with a creative way to further enhance the FE Replay, not too likely to see it. The perpetual money machines of Lockboxes or Doff Pack/R&D pack ubership Promotions! would be jeopardized.

    They really need to do this if they want to persuade people to make more new characters to play during future events like the delta recruit one.

    If they are reluctant to give out Lobi, then, One Spec Point or One Superior Universal Tech Upgrade per Account per day. Similar to the Weekly FE Awards.

    Or change course on wanting to keep new players from old gear. Have a "second chance" event now and then where you can grind CCA for shotguns, torps, whatever.

    I don't mind if someone who just started playing STO this Fall gets the shotgun. "There are many like it, but this one is mine."

    Yes, limited time events should not really be limited time . . . that is not fair.

    Or better yet, just throw it in the lobi store with the rest of the weapons there. Then it's always available for a price, better for them, better for us! Should make that standard of event rewards now, can get it free during the event, but if you miss it, you can still buy it.

    Yeah. I missed out on the free Dyson sci destroyer so I got one from the lobi store for two of my toons. Upgraded them to T5U and love them. The only ship that could persuade them out of it would be the Wells timeship, and I can't afford that.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    I, for one, would LOVE for my Delta to have the shotgun. He would get great use from it.
    I completed a 2-man CSE, ISE, and KASE, Optionals included. And I soloed Winter Invasion.

    Man what is with people and suggesting the Lobi store. You guys do know that 1 Lobi is roughly 1m EC right?

    A price I'm more than willing to pay for such a special item, plus that mileage may vary too considering the lockbox contents and random lobi amounts. Still by far beats not having it available at all. The lobi store is just still underutilized and would give further incentive to open boxes, which happen to pay the bills of this game.

    I like the idea of putting the FE rewards in the lobi store. When they run them you get them free, but if you want one of the rewards and don't log on every day of every year just to get all the limited time stuff, you can buy them.

    I'm annoyed I missed the shotgun. I never even heard about it - I never got an email that an event was going on and you can get this awesome gun. I would have logged in just to get that.

    How about the next time the run these events, you get a reward box that lets you choose the specific reward? Depending on the event (Mirror Incursion or Crystalline Cataclysm) you would be offered all the past rewards (no new ones for this round) and you can select one.

    One of the best solutions will be if they'll put CC and Mirror items in the lobi or fleet stores.

    The zef , fully upgraded, is one of the best ground weapons in the game imo.

    Would love the opportunity to get it on the toons that don't have it.

    I agree with those who have said to put the shotgun in the Lobi store. It's a better setup then what we have now.

    I have the shotgun. And the AntiProton Torpedo Launcher. I also acquired the Shard of Possibilities on all my chars the last time they ran the FE Replay. Along with the Breen BOff. I saw the FE Replay event coming up and made the time to acquire them.

    - The shotgun is okay. However there are quite a few weapons which perform better.

    - The Shard is quite useful for when you need a couple extra rifles in a pinch. It is two copies of you outfitted in standard NPC Ground Gear for whatever faction you are part of. The copies tend to bunch behind you and they are subject to perform all the really dumb things your BOffs do when you don't pay attention. Still useful though.

    - The Torpedo is excellent! I use it only on all AP builds with TS3 and HYT3 to acheive maximum effectiveness from it. Even if I have to downgrade other Abilities to do so.

    Cryptic has not run an FE Replay in a very long time. I'd rather they run the event than place the items in the Lobi Store however. I understand they have to make a living but earning the items would be better I think.

    The old rewards should be available each time the relevant event runs. Like the winter/summer ships used to be. Retiring the old ships was very bad decision. Discriminating against new players is not good. This is especially with the admiralty system the old reward ships would be useful even for players who don't want to fly them.

    Fight the event horizon. Reruns are your friend.

    Well folks, it looks like the Dev's have screwed over all Delta Recruits by not allowing them accese to the shotgun. So I know I won't be making any alts for this game ever again. Regardless of what event the Dev's are running.

    One reason to create new alts is to play them differently than the alts you already have. While it might be nice for your alts to have access to all of your existing shinies including lock box ships, you might consider this a chance to have a character that uses a new weapon and a new ship.

    That shotgun is what single-handedly made me re-think my entire build. Now, I cannot think of my builds without a shotgun and a TR-116.
