Question regarding Lietenant level Pilot abilities.

Hey everybody,

I've been tinkering around with my Nandi to build my first (and last) DPS orientated ship. So far I'm pretty happy with the 44k she did, but the goal is to reach 50.

This ship has a Lt Cmd Sci/Pilot hybrid. Having never used any other pilot abilities before, I would like to try one out. I am gonna sacrifice a Lt Sci ability (which right now is in one slot a Hazard Emitter II and in the other slot an Energy Siphon, which I just never seem to click. So that is the one getting shoved out.

So the question:
Which Lt level Pilot ability would be best to slot to increase the damage output, what does it do and why would you recommend this one?

Thanks in advance

Pilot Team, Fly Her Apart and Attack Pattern Lambda might give you the biggest boosts here. Maybe Reeinforcement Squadron (straight damage, not a buff). Fly Her Apart requires adopting a play style for it, of course, since it's a speed buff that damages your hull. Attack Pattern Lambda only makes sense if you don't use something like Attack Pattern Beta or Omga.

I often tend to use the Lt. Pilot slot for the "Hold it Together" healing power. If you don't need healing, of course, it's not a good choice.

If you look for a good science power to slot in the Lt.Cmdr slot - Gravity Well is always helpful, I think. Some DPS, and some crowd control. Of course, you might want to have some Particle Generators and Graviton Generators skill trained.

A good lt.Cmdr Pilot ability can be Reroute Reservers to Weapons, provided you don't use a power like Beam Fire at Will, Cannon Scatter Volley or Cannon Rapid Fire.

It makes sense even if you use one or even both if you have set the pilot specialization as your primary or secondary, because there is a passive skill that gives you temporary HP each time you use an attack pattern (except alpha). So the more attack patterns you have, the more time your shields and hull are not damaged by enemy attacks. Personally, i tend to use lambda and delta patterns, plus beta and / or omega if i have enough tac stations.

Well, all my Fed characters have Reprocity, so slotting a second attack pattern is pretty much superflous to me. But even before it wasn't always worth it.
