I don’t know, I guess I made my own event of it.

With 9 endgame alts I have no cool downs from Thursdays to Mondays (and even Mondays to Thursdays), ever.

No cooldowns mean grievers can join a stf, leave and do this the whole weekend !!!
    I say thats a bad idea !!

Alot of players don't have alot of time during the week and weekend. I think it would help players time wise to catch up and make extra progress, on themselves, ships and maybe in fleets too.

While i can appreciate the thought behind it, the benefits do not outperform the inherent dangers.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

I think the closest we ever did to danger was called “Rhi-Madness” by me and an in-game friend. Was not long after Delta Rising and all the pug runs right and left on most other maps failed.

I teamed up with him and we used our alts to run DRSE over and over again… for 2 hours flat. Average run took us about 5 mins and the map is easily solvable with just 2 good players and the pugs are irrelevant. I can’t put in words how many rewards we grabbed.

Unfortunately we lost our minds as well. :#

im not sure what 'dangers' could possibly exist. we used to do quite fine without all the cds and the sky didnt fall.

Wasn't that roughly about the same time as the cavemen first experimenting with fire?

Why not just implement double everything Wednesdays? It goes with Cryptic's ideology of keeping player retention high.

i really cant see the point of this, as weekend events that give bonus rewards of things like Exp, Marks & Dilithium what is the point of removing cooldowns on anything, you don't need to run the same thing over and over as there are so many things in game that reward these things and will earn bonuses on these weekends.

this is exactly what makes me laugh about many players attitude towards sto, they insist on playing the same thing over and over and then complain that the game is just a boring grind, so what if for example you are grinding marks and one thing pays the most where other things slightly less, it is much more fun and far less boring if you play a multitude of content even if you end up a with a little less bonus rewards at the end of the weekend, you will find the overall experience far more rewarding in fun and at the end of the day that is the most important reward you can get in the game.

cryptic put these cooldowns in the game specifically so you would not play the same content over and over and end up burning yourself out on endless grind and rightly so in my opinion.
in fact if anything I believe the cooldowns are not long enough.

When I think about everything we've been through together,

maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,

and if that journey takes a little longer,

so we can do something we all believe in,

I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.

I can see some are not keen on no cooldowns. Then perhaps cryptic need to do something about the dead queues. Decent rewards in all queues, and no having to waste time waiting to get into a queue if you see what i mean. Theres too many quiet times so to speak in PvE's at this time. Quite honestly wether you do the same thing all the time, should not matter. If its something you enjoy doing thats fine. If you want to do a mix of different things thats fine too. We are all different I guess.

I'd agree to this if they reverted to the hourly events they used to run. At present, cooldowns are fine with me as I play different STF's for the mats I need. And to solve dead queues, stick aload of STF's in the hourly events on rotation with a bigger payout.

I'm a weekday player. Weekends I spend quality time with the family. Would love it if they had midweek events or if they extended those weekend events to a Tuesday or a full week.
