Male Caitians and Ferasans do have access to various goatees and beards. All you need to do is decide which type of beard you prefer.

JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

I don't know why your so quick to cover your ears on just this one garbage detail of Abram's garbage, non-canon, Trek movies. They're Caitians, get over it. It's not like there's going to be any more JJ garbage movies from this universe.

maybe they where a more humanized hybrid like from Paradise? So it was less creepy, Kirk being in bed with fur bearing creatures... it makes my head hurt thinking of what people consider acceptable in the name of fornication these days -_-

To be fair, some people already consider that acceptable, so it makes sense that the 23th is more open minded.

if people where as open minded as they claimed, they would have the foresight to think of the consequences of their actions, its funny as even star trek tried to stress this. its always the crazy single minded people like anakin and picards clone from Nemesis who scream stuff like, "all i have are my feelings and/or desires!" races like vulcans became so popular from their inspiring dedication to logic and discipline over primal desire, yet the fans even the ones who go so far as to wear rubber ear props, rarely ever try to emulate beyond a pokerface. if your passions dictate your actions, can you really trust what you consider to be acceptable? animals that live only for primal instinct know only to act on their....ok, i think im beginning to understand, people like to look intelligent but wanna act like animals so they arent accountable to the self restrain of human morality's like the hippie movment when they rejected their humanity to become high and sleep around, but the more u embrace the primal nature the further u slip away from intellectual and you wont be able to keep faking having a mind above a beast of the field. remember how they portrayed this on TNg when Worf began to de-evolve?

edit: ..hmm, maybe i should of made a vulcan...if they bring back the delta recuit thing again i think ill make one ^^

I'm still trying to figure out how does that relate in any way with Kirk having sex with a Caitian.

Doesn't matter. Memory Alpha isn't canon, it's full of whatever TRIBBLE any editor wants to put on and is full of admins pet pages that have nothing to do with canon. There will be at least one more film set in the AU, maybe more.

In fact the MA page on caitians is a good case in point, there are two we know of, M'Ress and the unnamed Admiral, however the page also lists a bat-eared thing, the three breasted catgirl and the two catgirls from ID. Despite them not being caitians and me trying to point that out and remove them from the page, they remain because some editor has got it into their head they can decide what a caitian is and what isn't regardless of what canon says one is.

They are not caitians, they do not look like caitians, they are not called caitians onscreen, they are not caitians.

Can you confirm that the creatures we see with Kirk during his off-hours on Earth are Caitians?

Damon Lindelof: You mean the women with the tails?

Yes, this is the species that Lt. M'Ress was, from The Animated Series.

Lindelof: Yes, we can confirm this.

Lindelof was the Co-writer of ST: Into the Darksness

i think they where trying to stress that even a genius would sleep around with anything (to legitimize the politics), trying to base a culture on a guy who has no control over his own life let alone being able to run an entire star ship...yet in the movies anything can be made to work out. yeah, just advertising hollywood mindsets, its all about politics but you shouldnt be surprised given what u see on the news...suddenly the sheltered computer nerd in his mothers basement is no longer weird because hollywood tells us its ok to be Eve :/

JarJar Abrams called em caitians, thats where it was confirmed from. he wanted caitians to become pinup girls...and there u have it.

And? It's not onscreen, it's not canon.

You know, the guys behind the scenes can be wrong, especially if they have little love for the franchise they are making a film of.

It wasn't him. And even if it were, it would't matter, it's not onscreen, it's not in the credits, it's not canon.

I have to applaud the derailment here from an amusing joke about the mirror universe into a vitriol infused rant about what is/isn't a canon source of information and is/isn't caitian
