I hate to say this, but this thread is probably not a good idea. While the OP may not have any bad intentions, there is no guarantee that all of those reading do not, and asking young people to identify themselves on the internet can be dangerous.
I even remember reading about the upcoming series DS9 in TV Guide.... heh, I also remember liking TV guide... (not young)
I remember having to get up to change the channel on the TV and cursing at the antennae for the poor reception!
I remember when we had a TV with the old-fashioned clicker remote. (Those actually used sound and if you were skilled you could change channels without the remote.)
It wasn't something we got new. it was old junk by the time we got it.

My intentions are not bad. I just wanted to see if any of the current generation knew of Star Trek outside of the JJ Abrams films, and know how trek influence our culture, that's all.
