And like soreceror01 said, it was human designs that were used. I'm sure Utopia Planitia had plenty of alien engineers and designers but the Federation's ships all shared a certain aesthetic which we can assume is human.
Please note: The Federation is the political body that Starfleet belongs to. Starfleet is the exploratory and defense arm of the Federation, hence why the ships are decidedly human-styled in design. Utopia Planitia makes ships for Starfleet, but....
They are not the only shipyard in the Federation, or even the only ones that make ships for Starfleet.
It can also be assumed that, since we still see NPC Vulcan, Risian, and even Andorian ships in orbit around their respective homeworlds (and Eath), and the existence of ships like the Caitian Atrox, that the various member worlds still have their own shipyards that still produce their own signature vessels.
Well, one thing the Feds learned the painful way in the Dominion war is that fielding a fleet that relies on the same tech can have disastrous consequences. Every ship in the Fed fleet could be crippled by that Breen energy dissipater. Klingon ships, using power source based on Fek tech, were not affected as badly and could relatively easily adapt to it.
Thus over-use of standardization is bad. Which might explain why we see more member world ships now than in DS9.
Making 6 (1 for each 10lvl) different Vulcan ships is probably not available on the agenda anytime soon.. if ever.
Though I support a new Vulan T6 ship.
On another note, Vulcans logical thinking when building ships should get interesting design choice.
Yeah...a lot less flashy. Think Star Trek The Motion Picture.
Leave it to the Devs to get an well designed ship, so I twitered the question to Captain Geko. And he said yes there will be more vulcan ships in the future.... So hope they come soon !!!

Ah, that'd be cool. I'd love to see the Surak class as a high end Command Science Vessel or something.
What kind of Vulcan ships are they going to add? Is there enough source material for them to use or will they be making their own designs like with the Romulans?
I honestly would rather they concentrate their efforts on Cardassian and Dominion ships. Not a whole lot of source material there either but with the upcoming season and the possibility of a playable Cardassian race or even faction in the future (hey I can dream can't I?) more DS9 ships would be appropriate. And fun. I loved DS9 and the Cardassians and Dominion.
Just no more alien ships for a while please! The game barely looks Star Trek lately with all these weird alien ships people are using.

Nice to hear, but a SCI ship for Roms and Klinks first, k?

Just cruious how it would look Trek again by adding Cardassian ships to a franchise that was almost purely Federation in every incarnation shown.

You obviously have never seen the seven seasons of DS9...
Actually yes I have. Doesn't negate my question since the shows were almost entirely about the Starfleet personnel, which would be using Starfleet ships mostly, not entirely. So suddenly everyone having Cardassian ships wouldn't make it look more Trek. But then again alot of the new ships they gave the Fed don't even really look Trek either.
If Vulcans built their own ships...they would really be unstoppable, because it would be ILLOGICAL to build anything other than the perfect starship.
There's no such thing as the perfect starship; no ship would be able to fulfill every task required of it to perfection. That's why there are different types of ship.
It is illogical to put all your eggs in one basket.

I love to see more stuff when dealing with mirror races like dominion and Cardessian ships, but I have a vulcan Admiral as well and only have one science vessel, and they wear federation close because there isn't even vulcan stuff for them to wear, same with the Cardessian and Dominion, same problem it's stuck, I bought the Dominion close from the exchange because there was none all I need is the strike fighter to unlock the hanger pet.
It's all about the money.... LOLzzz
