I just published my second Foundry mission.
Of mazes and monsters
A routine mission gets complicated when a certain omnipotent being decides that it's time for some "adventure".
Minimum Level 31, Starfleet.
The mission starts in the Pellme System located in the Argelius Sector of the Beta Quadrant. It should take between 20 and 60 minutes to complete depending on how much you explore the maps.
I got the idea for that mission somewhat spontaneously and assembled it over the last three weeks. It's a stand alone episode losely inspired by the TNG episode Qpid so it should not be taken too seriously although if you want to play this for a challenge, try to use melee weapons only
. This is a pure ground mission (there is one space map at the beginning but this one just has some dialogue and nothing else) with some mandatory combat and lot's of optional combat. Although it's not a grind mission it can be used rather well to work towards the Beast- and Species M-113 Kill Accolades (especially if you clean out the entire Outdoor ground maps).
I would appreciate if some of you could spare the time to review the mission and leave some feedback, remarks or suggestions.
Comments
It's freshly published so there will probably be some minor issues I overlooked that will be addressed as the reviewers point them out to me. If that's not a problem for you, I'm honoured that you consider my mission for a playthrough video .
It would be my pleasure.
Great, I hope you will enjoy the mission. If you decide to actually put a recording of it up on your channel, it would be nice if you could provide a link to the video.
Forest of Asharia, the Orcs were funny.
Nice shooting gallery in the Dungeon.
Neat mission idea.
My character Tsin'xing
Ok thanks, I will have a look at that the next time I make corrections to that mission.
Tried to change the title to "Of Mazes and Monsters" as suggested by nrobbiec. For some reason it's still listed as "Of mazes and monsters" in the foundry list but appears under the changed title in the log.
A third reviewer kindly pointed out that on some (ok most) occasions where someone is directly adressed I forgot to place commas so I went through all the dialogue and tried to correct that. Not sure if I found everything but there should be a notable improvement in that aspect.
The changes have been published, the testplay after the republishing showed no major problems. A few interact animations didn't play but they are still set in the editor and since I had some hickups in my connection during the testplay this might have been a problem on my end.
Two more ratings missing to get out of the review tab .
It still needs some plays to qualify for rewards in order to show up in the top three system. Of course feedback and suggestions for improvements are still welcome.
I used the "Save&Publish" button after making my changes. I did not withdraw, change and republish if that was your question.
I would only completely withdraw a mission for changes if someone reported a problem that makes it impossible to finish the mission or if extensive changes are required for other reasons.
Right now the mission has a total of 12 ratings which is still not enough to qualify for rewards and to show up in the top 3 system at its starting location. It would be nice if some of you could spare the time to play and rate the mission in order to help out with that. Of course feedback is still appreciated and if you find specific points that need corrections please point them out (my time is somewhat limited right now but I will look into issues that are brought to my attention eventually).
