Crystalline Cataclysm Redefined

ok so here are some idea for making crystalline less everyone rush to the crystalline. make it so the entity is not there untill all the ships are destroyed or put on a timer(3 large groups), add skippable cutscene have it come in and on the first and second absorb pulse only spawn ONE group that includes a tarantula 3 recluse and 5 orb weavers, only enable the recluse/tarantula to spawn rifts which spawns mirror universe units, remove that rift as a zone wide effect, enable the orb weavers to net.

Though I like how it would benefit us DPS-Players (and since there would be unlimited rants from scrubs in the forums that they cant complete it anymore, even a personal benefit for me), I like the non-timegated version more than your proposed.

Borg disconnect is heavily time gated but the only thing bad about it is the unskippable cutscenes i see no issues. id also like to add that anyone that would complain about not completing it are the people who arent geared for advanced which means they should be playing on normal anyway.

Er, why? Isn't it designed to be a rush to the crystal? Why add time gates, required trash mobs and cut-scenes in the middle of the action, all things players seem to loath?

Or is this one of the "nerf CC so the players play the queue that I like" requests?

so wanting STF's to be more engaging is a problem? time gate? the only time gate would be as described the first one before the crystal shows. trash mobs? this would add more exp to the stf not just run hit the crystal hard then leave. and no even on my engineer i get first place quite frequently but the STF is boring and could definitely use some sprucing up. Borg Disconnect makes me gag with all the cutscenes you cant skip on top of the 6 time gates on it. if you can come here and complain about one time gate and trash mobs you've already missed the point of the Suggestion

CC is one of the best queues, since performance actually impacts time and rewards.

I can understand where you come from, but we already have a redifined CC: The mirror event, which is a stand-in for CC (so both have a frequency of roughly 6 months). Of both I prefer CC, since no timegate, and performance makes a big impact.
Not to mention with many alts CC is doable, but MI is just much, much invested times, in which I could get more dilithium by playing standard queues.

There are already a number of queues similar to what you described or want. CC is pretty unique, and player -without irony- love it.

As for the XP, that wouldnt be noticeable, unless they would make it a boostzone like tholian alert. Which would be a nice thing.

a boost zone CC? that would be nice ^_^ would actually give people incentive to kill the ships. usually when i roll up in there if no one is using gravity well its just a hot mess, ships all about and such. one can only keep so many people alive right?

Simple: Kill the ships with FAW and very high dps. No problem there. And of course stay in motion.

I wish they'd add an Elite version that works like the old CC.

id like to see more innovation but cryptic has much to learn. look at CCP with Eve online. it is way older than STO by many years look where it is now. ive said it before wanting engaging STF's should not be a problem the only real problem is that people have become complacent about current things going on in the game. Cryptic can do better and the only way they will is if we hold them accountable with that in mind.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
