Krenim imperium warship vs Scimitar Dreadnaught: Comparisons, thoughts, opinions.

Simply put, I'm wanting a good breakdown of the differences, strengths, weaknesses, advantages, and disadvantages for each, and the opinions of which each player prefers (Or would prefer, for those who don't actually have both).

Btw, I'm considering the krenim warship as an alternative to the Scimitar.

Different class of ship, Krenim is going to be much easier to fly and less tough, if you haven't tried comparing a slow cruiser with a fast destroyer then do so with cheap alternatives before spending heavily on something you may not like. Consider that the scimi cloaks and is stupidly huge. Nothing else matters if you don't like the piloting experience, all the pros and cons are just talk if you hate flying the thing.

The thing is, the scimi simply has the warbird perks and one of the best pets in the game whereas the box ship only has the hybrid seats and a slightly better turn rate (not counting the trait since it's pretty much useless).
Personally I'd stick with the scimi, espeically when you consider how hard (expensive) it is to get one of those grand prize box ships.

Would anyone put the Atsika or Sheeshar up there with those?

If you look at all of the determining factors, the Scimitar has mostly all of the desireable ones, whereas the other ships in question do not. It mostly a matter of pros and cons, with room for personal preference.

The Scimitar has 8 weapons and 5 tac consoles. The Imperium and the Nandi are the only other two ships in the game thus far with both.

The Scimitar has a very strong pet. The Imperium does not. The Astika does not. Sheshar does, but nowhere near as good as the Scimitar pet.

The Scimitar has Romulan battle cloak. none of the other comparable ships do.

The Scimitar has a Commander Tactical, with reasonable to good additional tac seating depending on what you do with the LtC. The Sheshar and Astika cap out at LtC Tactical, and I cant imagine doing anything with the Command seating that would balance that out. OSS for intel-maybe.

The Scimitar can use many of the Romulan Ship consoles, including the Valdore. Some like that, some dont. Depends on what youre after.

The Sheshar and Astika can use weapon comms. The Scimi and the Imperium do not. Weapon power efficiency can be had elsewhere on the build though.

The Astika has a great perk which is wasted on the Astika which has less need of power bonuses. The Sheshar perk is great on ships that use torpedoes, which probably isnt the Shesar. The Imperium trait is goofy to work with. But traits follow the Captain once earned, not the ship.

The Scimitar has the console set and bonuses, but I cry a little bit everytime I see the Thalaron blast used in advanced queues. It requires the 3 pack anyway. The Astikas console is pretty good. I ripped the Imperium one off of mine upon acquisition, so I couldnt tell you about that one.

Also consider that if youre going to play the thing for any length of time, you have to look at it. This is a personal preference, but I think the Astika is one of the better looking ships in the game, the Sheshar is pretty, the Scimitar looks nice besides the beef jerky wings, and the imperium is... well... not my favorite looking ship.
