Animations and Models in STO

Will we ever see an update on animations and models of our character? I know we have seen a few enhancements here and there but the animations and meshes still feels kinda "old". Not to mention no matter how many players there is we all share the same base face, the "clone" look is so apparent. The animations are very jerky. They are either too fast or too slow, imo.
I guess I'm just spoiled after having playing a bunch of other MMORPGS when I more or less stopped playing STO a couple of years ago. I'm thinking of most Asian MMORPGS that well, the focus on your characters appearance is high. Sure this is Star Trek and many don't care because, space battles. The few times I do play I tend to avoid having to trek around on some planet, I prefer staying in space because my characters looks make me cringe.
