This is my current build for my Faeht intel warbird, while i have some experience flying escorts most of them are fed and carrier escorts, none of which use intel abilities.
Im looking for advice to up my dps and survivability as well as a recommended sing core as i have yet to get a new one for that.

For Consoles, make all your tac consoles except the lance Vulnerability Exploiters (+Pla) from a T3 Spire. Gives you both extra plasma damage and crit damage, which upgrades the lance as well. An Advanced RCS Module (ResAll) and Advanced Neutronium Alloy (+SIF or Turn) from the fleet dil mine for engineering gives you resistances. An Exotic Particle Field Exciter from the exchange (+Shield Health and +Particle Gen) a purple Field Generator, and the Shield Absorptive Frequency Generator for science slots (Replace the Field Generator with a Plasmonic Leech if you can get your hands on one.)
For the main parts.....I would suggest for a shield the Elite Fleet Adaptive Resilient Shield Mk XII [Cap]x2 [Adapt] [ResB]. It's a solid shield that helps immensely against the most common pve enemies. You'll need an invite to a T5 starbase for that. You also might consider replacing the Warp core and deflector with a two piece Kobali set from Dust To Dust for the Shield Regenerator. Engines I will leave up to your discretion. I personally use Adapted Honor Guard and MACO on my two Faehts.
For boffs, make the Ensign uni a Tac with Tac Team I. Make the sci alterable. I always keep a Hazard Emitters I handy when I'm fighting Borg, Undine, or Romulans, but go with other options when fighting others. The Intel Seat could be (Low to high) Intel Team I, Ionic Turbulence II, Surgical Strikes I, and Attack Pattern Omega II. Then make the Tac seat another Tac Team I, torp volley II, and BFAW III. The Tac team repetition is because Tac Team is a highly useful buff, increasing your damage as well as automatically balancing shields toward incoming fire. Having two increases the amount of time you have one available. The engi seat is what I generally use.
