How do I get the game to fully load?

Since windows 10, have been able to play once and that's it. Game opens downloads updates button turns into ENGAGE, push button, endless loop black screen with blue rotating circle (that you can move all over the screen) left it like that for approxamately twenty minutes. And before you say try it in windows 7 mode been there done that, same result.

Firstly, You should have used the search function as there is a lot of helpful tips on how to work around this.

Secondly.... What launcher do you use?

If it is the STO standalone one and not ARC or Steam.. the best work around I know of is on the top bar under options, scroll down and click "Safe Mode" then hit save.

The game will patch/load as normal However! you will have logged in with reduced settings and will need to ramp them up when in game.

Since Season 10 went live I have had to do this every time i go in to the game but it will allow you to play the game until this issue is 100% resolved by the Dev/QA team.

If not! then use the search function here on the forums and look around for this issue as there are some other work arounds i have seen but the one above is the only one that works for me.
