Now, this has been brought up any times before, regarding the lack of ability to customize bridge officers whom have been gotten by achieving Tier 5 in Maruading/Diplomacy, but no one I can find has found anything similar to my question.
Now, my T5 Marauding Boff (Trill) is able to wear the Bortasqu' uniform, but my T5 Diplomacy boff (Orion) cannot wear the Odyssey uniform.
Why is this?

This is probably because klingon uniforms aren't really uniforms, not like Star Fleet uniforms anyways. It's kind of the differences between your "uniform" of white dress shirt and black slacks if you work at a restaurant and the uniform you would wear if you were in the U.S. Navy. Someone from the Navy who got a job at your restaurant would wear the white shirt and black pants, but if you got a job in the galley of an aircraft carrier as a civilian you probably would not be wearing a Navy uniform... if that makes any sense.
While I would not be against the uniform option you are talking about, my pet peeve is when they do not offer all of the oppisite faction's costumes. My Orion BOFF from Diplomacy does not have the option to wear the KDF Sashes except for the Bortasque one and the one I unlocked from that old event that unlocked the Season 1 TNG worf sash for all your character. I also hate how the Romulan officers from the Embassy, and the borg one from the lobi store, cannot use any of the Republic uniforms except the veteran coats.
We come in peace, SHOOT TO KILL!
Personally, I think it's more a 'fluff' difference related to the different implications of the Diplomacy and Marauding BOffs - Sugihara specifically comments on an 'Officer Exchange Program' when a FED player picks up thier Diplo-BOff and the times in the series we see officers on an Exchange Program (Riker, Kurn and J'Ddan), they're still wearing their own 'parent organization's uniform (Starfleet for Riker, KDF armor for Kurn, civilian clothes of J'Ddan). Marauding BOffs are implied to be non-Starfleet members of their race who, for whatever reason, chose to support the KDF over their own people (maybe they're outlaws, maybe they believe the Klingons are right about the Undine threat... maybe they're just looking for their last, best hope to make a quick buck...) and thus wouldn't have any reason to be wearing a Starfleet uniform.
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
The Standard Trill Species is Available to both Factions, orions are not... That would be my assumption
Despite Cryptic's excuse to that effect, so they didn't have to unify the KDFs uniform code with the Bortasq' (as they did with the Oddy), the KDF does have uniforms with discernible patterns, they are far less dis organised than they first appear. The only difference is they don't quite have the range Starfleet does.
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

When creating the boffs in question, someone decided they should wear all wear KDF clothes on both sides.
