Has Anyone Tested the Zahl "Invincible" Ship Trait? (Question)

So as the title says, has anyone done any tests on this?

I'm very curious, it says when hull is 5% you become invincible for 8 seconds. My question is, suppose you're hit by a massive hit or an alpha striker that covers your entire hull. Obviously hull goes from 100-0 in increments even though sometimes it looks instantaneous. So does this mean that if you get like a 150,000 Crit Hit on your 80,000 hull, the most you'll go down is to 5% than become invincible?

...or will a massive hit bypass the 5% rule and just blow up? Very curious if anyone has tried this before I use my Lobi to get the ship. Thanks in advance for any constructive advice and game testing.

I havn't gotten this ship specifically because former ship traits that only trigger near death (such as those from the kobali samsar and the rom faete) don't protect you from those massive hits that skip past the trigger point, so i assume this one works the same way.

besides, since you've got less than half the ship traits than console slots with end game ships, it's more than twice as important to slot those that trigger persistantly than those that trigger once in a blue moon.

its works nicely.. you are in fact invincible and when you get hit over your hp you are set to 0% and will die unless you heal yourself up before the 8s duration are over.

So wait I'm confused...your hull is actually zero but you keep surviving for 8 seconds giving you a chance to heal? Wow that just sounds weird, I thought it would stop at 5% not actually put you at 0% and still fly around.

That would make PvPers whine even more.

    Its exactly as i wrote:

You fall below 5% hull or even get one large hit over you shield-/hull-values so you're dropped to 0% and 8s later you either die or have healed enough to be above 0% again and survive a bit longer potentially

I have the ship and use the trait in PVE, its too strong for PVP IMO.

And yes, it truly does exactly what the others said. I was in Hive Onslaught (Advanced) and caught plasma lances with my face and my ship did not die, even while the HP showed a big fat 0.

However, you still have to be careful. Those 8 seconds are over faster than you think. In my case, I did die from plasma burn (Hazard Emitter was on cooldown). Basicly my ship remained on fire and after the 8 second expiration it went boom.

Lesson learned: Keep 1-2 heals always on standby. That way you may never actually die, because after 2 minutes you got another death-defying activation. In my case, the trait is on my engineer, so I just hit Miracle worker now which pretty much guarantees you can make a comeback and stay alive after hitting 0%.

I max out on this stuff, Invincible, Blaze of Glory, all the regen stuff at low health. It's really only OP 1 on 1. If I'm under fire from multiple targets, I'm still dead. In a good PvP match, people should be grouped closely and focusing fire.

Well with Miracle Worker, Engineering Team every 15 seconds, Aux2SIF every 15 seconds, Hazard Emitters, and that healing console (forget he name) 8 seconds should be long enough for me to pop two of those and be at full health again. Thanks will be getting the ship.

And yes alpha striking is basically obsolete 1 vs 1 in PvP with this thing.
