Scimitar Tier 6 Redesign

This is my second attempt at a Scimitar T6 redesign, this one resembles the original a lot more than my first redesign and is also based on a more solid base concept.

The idea is that the Romulan Empire has finally decided to work side by side the Reman's for the first time in a joint venture in order to create the Scimitars successor, up until now the Romulan's exclusively designed their own ships hence the striking aesthetic contrast between the Scimitar and the rest of the Romulan fleet as the Scimitar was of Reman design.

This new co-development has meant the ship took on aesthetic ques from both Romulan and Reman design, Romulan design tends to be quite organic, curving and arching shapes whereas Reman design tends to be a lot more angular, bulky, and sharp.
On top of this I also played around with the idea that some Borg tech and influence entered into the mix, what with the Romulan's past exploits with Borg tech being well documented and with the launch of the Tal Shiar Adapted ships it made sense that they would revisit the tech in order to produce a more advanced vessel.

The result is a design that looks pretty damn menacing and spiky

Also if you want to know, the name Shamshir means "Sword" in Persian and were typically of similar design to a Scimitar, their word for Scimitar basically.

My first was a very different design, less Borg influence and actually the more I look at it she actually reminds me more of a massive upgraded Mogai rather than a Scimitar, though with the larger engine mounts. I also went nuts with the specs

Make a cleaner, less borgy version as part of a 3 pack and I'm sold, I love the general shape of it.

Also, the Star Empire is dead, Long live the Romulan Republic.
(People far less likely to experiment with borg tech)

I can't really see any Romulan influences in the design, but it does look really tasty

great job on the artwork that can't be denied, however personally I feel "less is more" especially for a ship of this size. So many sharp edges and parts don't make sense as to why they are there.


Maybe flatter or maybe turn the wings up instead of down dunno..

Not saying I can do it better.. hell no... def. don't have the skills for that but as I said before "less is more" is something that would suit this gigantic beast. Def add in those shiney lights that makes the ship more creepy.
