why is it the borg ground combat area gives more fleet marks instead of omega marks?

    Because it's old and broken, and Cryptic haven't updated the area in years. Back in the day, Omega and Fleet marks were all you could get, and both were "must have" marks.

    The Dailies are still good for Omega Marks, and the extra Fleet Marks always come in handy for projects I guess. But like most (all?) older content it's rarely played now by anyone for it's original purpse.
