Did you think the war was going to go on "forever"? Of course there'll be a thrilling conclusion! Just like the end of the Klingon-Federation War and the War Against the Voth! :)

The Voth war ended? I just made a giant hole in one of their fortress ships!

    "Ideation"?
New home of the Romulan Republic.
I have an idea for what Season 11 should be; Season 11: The Big Bug Fix.
I have not been able to read my bug tickets in over a year, not even the tickets about not being able to see my tickets.
I find the drama of your signature proof of your immaturity, this means you, DR whiners.

Nice to see the Iconian War coming to an end, it'll probably do with the Timeship and another special anniversary event ship possibly that's Tier 6.... >.>
The Rising of the Delta is the best expansion ever, and people love it to death because it is a good day to die in the endless struggle for supremacy of your own conviction. (A spin off of the Delta Rising is the best expansion ever and all the players love it.)

Since I won't be able to attend as I'm not from the USA... can a good soul ask:

    1. Are there plans to implement phasing tech across the board to make the game more alive and immersive? The way Guild Wars 2, World of Warcraft, and Richard Garriott's Tabula Rasa did it? (Definitely not LotRO's implementation.)

You don't have to credit me for that question. But do name yourself in any video (@handle -- spell it out if need be), and I might send you a gift if they answer it. :p We'll see.

I shall be there with my partner in crime, Admiral Song. We shall be in red and blue shirts, or I may be slacker Academy cadet. But we will be there. I'm looking forward to this and the convention as I've never been to Las Vegas.

What! Why? Shouldn't we have Laughing Trendy our STO Community Manager doing this?
Especially as the livestream with Aron Eisenberg was handled so well too - why give us someone we've never heard of?

I also think that people will see and hear CBS and try asking about licensing, future TV series etc that Holly will not and cannot answer!

I vote for Trendy to do this!!

EH I wouldn't be interested until there is some kind of solution to the issue that affects a lot of veteran players where it comes to alts and the massive xp requirement based on a per character specialization system and a ship mastery that is per character per ship so if say you have 10+ that sometimes use a bird of prey you would have to master that ship 10+ times and its just as bad with specialization system. Reputations I could stomach for awhile but I got turned off of them and the game so unless they are going to be discussing how to alleviate this as being nothing more than a grindfest casino I gotta say its been fun but no longer part of your player base.

implementation of the Star Trek universe from a classic series to a masterful, digital experience.
so when is this "masterful, digital experience" coming out?! What will it be named? How much will it cost at release?

    yes this is sarcasm

"The Star Trek Online team will be hosting a very special panel where we take you on a journey through the ideation, creation, and implementation of the Star Trek universe from a classic series to a masterful, digital experience."

So CBS has officially given up on Star Trek Online and will be revealing details about an entirely new game? Will this be about STO 2? Or will this new game have a completely different name?

Yep, I think she's the brain behind the direction the Star Trek Litverse is going, with her counterpart in Pocket Books as her partner, if I'm not mistaken, Trekkers ;)

Actually, I think it's a matter of logistics. the devs live in California, it's a lot easier to get to LV than Orlando.

Maybe the Cryptic road hockey team will go against the new Los Vegas hockey team, to see who gets the rights to STO? :fearful:

Way back, yonder when, STO used to post pics of events like these. Please of please do so again, for those of us who don't have the means, the money, the passports, the time off, etc.

Don't make me say the dreaded words: "Pics or it didn't happen!" :p

I take thousands of pictures every year, not just of STO stuff, but of my experiences at the Con in general.
The past two years I've posted them for people to see on the forums as well.

This year will be no different.

Why? CBS owns everything "Star Trek", and from what I remember from the interviews during the development of STO (even before it was transferred to Cryptic), CBS did say they're going to give a special attention to STO. It was a few years after that it made sense, because it will be the last "Primeverse" content we'll ever have with CBS "guidance" -- since the Litverse technically have free reign now because all canon ended.

In a way, we can consider STO as "almost-canon" since CBS is "guiding" it. I'm glad with it, as a Trekker. Not to mention, the Litverse is also going great even without CBS direct guidance.

MMOGs for franchises are taken seriously, no one cares for other types of games and books usually, but when it comes to MMOGs, it's gold. Look how many potential titles that can be turned into an MMO that are not yet an MMO. And those that failed, some rebooted too ;)

But of course, I could be wrong with how much involvement CBS have with STO.

    (aside: Cryptic, "Highlander" MMO please!)

The best way I can think of to put it is that STO is it's own separate alternate universe apart from the "prime" timeline. CBS has good reason to want to see it continue, STO collapsing would be bad for CBS and Star Trek in general.
