I've been itching for a chance to disobey orders.

Why yes, it's long past time for some "well meaning insubordination"...

I think it could be very interesting indeed. The Purity Series in the Foundry really does an excellent job of this and could present some pointers to the STO team in dealing with thorny ethical issues.

Sometimes reboots can be a good thing especially if they are designed to reset the playing field a bit in mature games like this one. I wouldn't want to see the thousands of real life dollars I have spent in this game become worthless in one fell swipe but a chance to re-tune, add factions or even make the various wars meaningful would be welcome.

I always hated all the Trek episodes that 'never really happened' due to whatever time thing happened to reset the timeline. Why make me waste an hour (or many hours on Voyager) watching some story that never 'happened' after they Save The Day. Main characters die (not really) and etc. Just a waste of limited episodes. I assume I'll hate the end of the Iconian arc here too if that's where we're going. And if we AREN'T heading there, I'm going to assume the ending Cryptic will churn out will be even lamer (some magical Kumbayah w/ the Iconians?) than the 'POOF! It never happened.' we expect with the Krenim involved.
Sometimes I think I play STO just to have something to complain about on the forums.

I don't understand the comparison to Lost. Almost everything that's happened in the STO narrative has led to this confrontation with the Iconians. It's pretty clear that this general outline was planned from the start.

Not as compelling. :| I still prefer a renewed Fek'ihri threat.

I could go for some more Tholians, if only to hopefully get more gear for my Recluse...

But... personally I'd rather go back to DS9...
I once again match my character. Behold the power of PINK!

In an ideal world I'd take both, with a side of applesauce.

Tholians though. For a brief amount of time they were getting plenty of progress. Occupied Nukara and got busy with collecting tech and data, and were also doing the same at Dewa III - so would have knowledge of Iconians and the gate network, I mean they were there before the Republic even showed up to settle.

That is my biggest gripe. The missions you complete through the New Romulus reputation gave all sorts of hints that leads you to believe Tholians would become a bigger deal in the future.
In one of the recordings you watch a Tholian went on record saying that they'd attack ESD directly as a diversion if we continued to meddle. Of course the Undine got there first and stole their thunder.

    But no. Nothing. Nada.
