My Notebook died Dec. 25th. I was grinding the dyson sphere then, hoping for consoles, and maybe some ship slots. If I was lucky, I thought about buying a character slot, so I could see the new Fed Tutorial.

But right then, in the middle of a V-rex battle, the notebook shut off, and would not boot again. I've torn it down to the mainboard, and every component checks out. It just lost the will to live.

I got a Gateway desktop around June, it's a dinosaur, 2005. P4ht, which means it had absolutely no hope of running STO.

I see the facebook updates and my fingers itch to get in the fight, but I can't.

A friend built me a new computer, and it should get here around Friday. You can guess what the first piece of software I'll install after the antivirus.

So this is Admiral Freeby, sending out a call on shortband. Anyone in Maquis Aliance Elite Force still out there? I miss you guys. I know 7.5 frustrated you as much as it did me, but I really enjoy this game.

I've sat out an entire war, and I hope to get back into the fight soon.

Also, I hope the grind elements haven't gotten worse, they were pretty bad. I skipped R&D entirely because of the sink.
