Melee NPCs

I've been using costumed Mugato squads when I require humanoid NPCs that only use melee attacks; however, this choice sometimes seems a bit awkward (especially given the Mugato's head butt and poison bite attacks). Sadly, I haven't come across anything that looks more realistic, and I wondered if anyone else has a better suggestion for this type of NPC group.
