Changing of old characters.

I am unsure of just how many players still have there origional first capt. But i know that i do.
But he was created on 1/29/2010 4 days before launch of the payed game.
At that time i and others that purchased lifetime subs and had special pre order items were not capable of making them.
Lib Borg, Joined Trill, ect.

I would like to request a option for such toon,s to be able to take advantage of what was purchased so long ago.
Meaning the ability to keep the same toon as is all rep, ships, accolades, ect. But Be able to make that toon a lib borg, joined trill and so on that thay should have had access to at that time.

And before any flame war entitlment replys and so on are posted this would be only a option for any still active toon that was created before open launch of the game meaning between 1/29/2010 to 2/02/2010.

I know it may not be possible to have a general change button for everyone letting them mini max to the latest fad.
But this is a request only for what thay had on there accounts and created in the 4 days early access to purchasers of a life time sub before the launch of the game. And im sure from a spreadsheat point of view what our characters are actualy in its as simple for a dev to edit the one line saying species is xxxxxxxx. this would not make any more money for the game granted but i dont think that there are realy that many toons left still from that time. if im wrong please say if you have one and would like or not like this possibility.

Probably going to be considered too much work to benefit so few people. Since this would need a coder rather than an artist I am sure most would agree that Dev time is better spent on bug fixing than a 'cosmetic' thing like this.

I will admit my on toons are not that old but right now I am back on the first toon I created which is far less equipped than the lib borg but it still has its charms, and like a boat trip the pleasure is in the journey and not the destination.

So you want a race change. Well, as per the devs it's not that easy. They only talked about gender change, which they want to put on the tailor. Race change, faction change won't be in the game.

True the jurney is what counts in the end. And i would agree bug fixes are more needed than this as a whole no question there. i have personaly all my toons save my first liberated borg and regardless of that i am still drawn to him more than the others. Its not so much wanting to give an advantage if any as he is human and human lib borg i dont see much difference in but thats me. and in any case i still will keep playing him just every now and again i wish i could have made him a lib borg and i think maby some others wanted there trill to be a joined trill from back then. I dont know so this is more a pole to see if there are still any players still out there with toons like mine and would want this option.

I want a species change token.

I regret not making my first character an "alien" I picked human male and the customisation options are pretty TRIBBLE poor. I mostly have him wearing the nukara ev suit 24/7. Sometimes I switch to maco armour or counter-command armour but I never show his face.

Still he's my first character and he has so many items and unlocks that my alts don't really get much of a look in. Except my Klingon but that's because he's badass.

sorry to raise the BS flag, but toons created before launch were beta and they were wiped at launch. I had Rodney Mckay during Beta, and when the game launched i created Drummond for me and Anne created Deety. (She's still mad that she couldn't transfer that toon to her account when she bought it) anyway, there have been discussions since launch about race changes and it was always a too hard to do answer. i WAS hoping that with the Delta Recruit move that any facion race could have been chosen. a Fed Gorn would freaking ROCK

I'd lower that flag in shame if i was you

There was a 4 or 5 day head start in which people that purchased a certain pre-order could begin playing 4 or 5 days before the full release, those characters were not wiped and still exist, this is what the OP is talking about.

I'm in a similar bucket where I play the character I created at the beginning of the pre-launch and still play that character today. I would love to be able to move all my abilities, all that I've achieved over the last 5 years of gameplay to a "successor" as my captain retires and it moves on to my First officer, for instance. This would be a pretty cool idea, and I support it.

Unfortunately, as I think it has been mentioned, the possibility of this happening is very, very slim. I would rejoice and participate (read "pay money") if it was implemented, however!
